Some of the best food and service I've had in Calgary. Hosts, wait staff and managers are all top shelf. The location is very unique and picturesque, being on the island. Prices are not too bad either, there are countless other places in the city where you will pay a lot more for much less. Highly recommended.

We went there just for coffee, but they expected us to order more and asked us several times. So we ordered a dessert as well, but it was extremely sweet. Overall, I felt really uncomfortable and just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Was here on November 24th for lunch with 4 others I had to wait awhile until my friends arrived (due to all the snow at the airport) John the sommelier was fabulous and was able to suggest some amazing wines We ALL enjoyed the food ambience and service. Sam was our server, and was also knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place to ALL and will be back!!!

Dinner was great and server wasn't bothering me with tons of questions. I ordered lamd and that was something I never try before, other word its scratches you somewhere you never even known u was itchy. 10 out of 5. Their food will make u happy!

This was our second visit to River Cafe in 2 days! The food was tasty, the service good and the ambience fantastic. A lovely warm interior with a log fire. We chose eggs Benedict, crocq madam, smoked salmon tartlette and haddock fishcake. All were very good. We tried a couple of deserts the second time. Both the chocolate pavlova and the creme brulé were too sweet for our taste.
The food is great here. But what I love most is the atmosphere and how it’s located in the park. Something different.

Beautiful setting and service as always. Memorable mains. The best meal I've ever had. I was very appreciative of the wine recommendation for our tenderloin and strip loin- as those two are high “steak” investments. I wasn't in love with the duck ravioli appetizer however.

Don’t see anywhere on the website where you MUST have a reservation and that they don’t take walk ins. Went on a random Monday afternoon, paid for parking and walked over to be turned away when literally the entire restaurant other than two tables were empty. Place seems snobby.
