Came here for a birthday dinner and SALTLIK did not disappoint. The service was outstanding! Our server was helpful, informative and extremely down to earth. For a starter we ordered the Tempura Shrimp, it was phenomenal! Perfectly crispy and had a nice spice. For the Main Plate I ordered a 12oz New York Strip. The steak was wonderfully flavourful, my only complaint is that I had ordered the steak to be cooked medium rare but my steak was more rare especially as I got closer to the bone. For dessert we got the Chocolate Molten Cake, it was very rich but had a Berry Compote that paired nicely with the cake. I would recommend coming here! ?

My husband and I went for our 4 year anniversary and it was our first time. We got greeted at the door and seated right away in a lovely small booth. Our server greeted us quickly and then came back with two glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate us on our special occasion. Then we ordered our drinks and food and everything was so delicious. The wagu carpaccio was to die for! When we got our steaks my husbands was a little too cooked for his liking but our server right away asked if the kitchen could cook him a new one. He got his new steak and cooked perfectly rare. We were blown away by the service we got. Trevor (the manager on floor) came to our table and apologized about the steak (which we were having an amazing time regardless of the steak) but it was much appreciated. Overall, we will 100% be coming back because of the over and beyond service we received.

**This review is dedicated to THE CALAMARI**I don’t eat meat (though I do eat seafood), so I was a bit skeptical at first when my friend’s bachelorette was booked here, as it is a steakhouse. However, I had the best calamari I’ve ever had in my whole life. Yeah, the other pastas we ordered were good too, but omg, the calamari—it was the best of the best. I would come back here again and again just to eat that amazing calamari, and I will order it just for myself, not for sharing next time. Our server was amazingly friendly, and the host even served us free champagne when we arrived. However, they were a bit slow in bringing tap water, so we had to ask about four times (different staff) to finally receive our water, haha! ? The food portions were small and pricey, in my opinion, but since we didn’t order mains, it might be different for those. We also ordered some cocktails; I wasn’t really a fan of the first cocktail I ordered, the Vanity Fair, but the second one, the Moscow Mule, was okay. Originally, they had cucumber mule ? on their menu, and because I don’t eat cucumber (they are stinky and disgusting to me), when they ran out of cucumber and started making regular Moscow Mules instead, which I prefer, it all worked out for me. I also had a house draft ale beer and it was ok, nothing special, just an average red ale beer.Their restroom was on the level below so you will need to go down the stairs.Overall, from my experience, I would say it’s a fancy steakhouse interior restaurant with a friendly staff, chill vibe, with amazing calamari. If you are planning to go here, please order the calamari; it is the best… lol.

I tried out the YYCEXP menu and it was amazing. It was quite busy in the restaurant and you could tell the servers were all working hard to make sure all tables were attended to. We were helped by multiple people to ensure we had anything we needed.I would absolutely come back again to try their regular menu!

The restaurant was very fancy and the lighting sets the mood for fine dining. The waiters's attitude and professionalism are outstanding and sets a standard for other restaurants. My waiters, Trevor and Kelly, were extremely nice and well-knowledged about the food and ingredients. Lastly, the food was most definitely worth the price as it's freshness and rich flavour overwhelms the senses with bursts of colour. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant if you're visiting Calgary.

I went here for my anniversary dinner, we were both a bit underwhelmed as we heard/thought it would be fancier than it was. It was just way more casual than we thought. It has good food, but just not what we wanted. They were nice and gave us a free glass of champagne.Parking: We had to pay for parking in a parking garage near by and walk to the restaurant!

Amazing place, with great atmosphere! We was impressed just from the door by hostess, who treated us amazingly! You can choose between lounge side with tv&bar, and side just with comfy seats.Food was pretty good, I loved every piece on my plate, as artist.but in my opinion place is overpriced.Thank you so much for hosting us, I would recommend this place to my friends!

My sister and I had reservations for noon on a cold winter Sunday (-20 Celsius). We arrived 10 minutes early and met the host sitting at the bar, apparently on her phone. She informed us that they weren't open yet and rather than seating us in the empty restaurant, our options were to wait somewhere else or wait between the cold double doors. We opted to wait between the cold double doors rather than walking for 5 minutes in -20 weather and returning. Why take reservations when you can't accommodate the time? Why not seat your guests to keep them warm while your staff arrive? Not the experience that I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. If we weren't planning to meet a friend and if there was another option close enough to avoid the bitter cold, we would have left. Kindness is key to hospitality and I suggest looking elsewhere if you expect to find any.

We went back to Saltlik and had an amazing experience. The ribeye and blackened salmon were 10/10. The trout dip and calamari were fantastic. Camryn the sommelier helped us pick out a great bottle of wine.
