Our first time dining at Selia Bar was a complete disappointment. The food was almost inedible, and the service was very slow. There were four of us, two of us ordered the salmon (main course) and the other two ordered 5oz steak (main course). One of the salmon dish came with a chunk of the salmon missing so it was smaller than 5oz as specified in the menu. The 5oz steak was a bit tough and it didn't even had the chimichuri (as specified in the menu). All four plates came with the same vegetables: baby carrots and french green beans — however these vegetables were not fit for human consumption as the beans were cooked unevenly (some were darker greenas if they were cooked a long time ago, some were nicer green as if they were cooked right then) and they were very dry and tough to eat, we chewed and chewed and chewed and finally just gave up and not ate all of the beans. The baby carrots was almost uncooked. The smashed fried potatos were the only life safer of the dishes. Service was very slow: we asked for drinking water refill and the waiter only did it more than 10 minutes later. All in all it was definitely not a good restaurant. We decided to never go back. Sorry Selia, but you have to up your game if you want to keep customers coming.
Wish we could give more stars! Our family stopped in for our first visit and sampled a large portion of the menu (as pictured). Top notch all around! Very impressive experience and will be back for sure on our next visit to the city. Happy Celiac customer at Selia!

I was so excited to go to a gluten-free restaurant. It was a huge let-down from start to finish. Amateur service and so-so food. I would not recommend.
Our first visit was November 12/25. Delicious meals all around. Good to know all items on the menu are GF. Parking was at a premium and could be problematic at the busy times. Was a drive from SW Calgary. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.
Always happy when my partner and I go to Selia! My partner has celiac disease and we never have to stress about he can or can't have on this menu!
Gluten free, no worries. Great food, decent portions. Nice and clean restaurant. We had great service.

This place overcharged me even tho the bill literally said do not make, and then said they couldn’t do a refund because the manager wasn’t in and that the manager would call me back the next day. I never received a call back nor have I received a refund.

My wife is celiac but and we really were hoping to make this restaurant a regular. We ordered the cowboy burger exited to bite into a smash burger but when we opened our food were disappointed to see it was a pre formed patty ( like the ones from grocery store) not at all crispy like a smash burger. The flavour was okay but the food was very greasy and salty. The buns did not hold together and fell apart halfway through the burger. Onion rings were tasty but filled with grease. Felt like they could have given more fries for how much we payed. Grateful we can be confident that my wife won’t get sick from gluten contamination but would love to see some work done on the menu and actually be served what you ordered. We found it expensive for what it was.

Like I read someone else say, I REALLY wanted to like this restaurant. I’ve been Celiac for 5 years and have tried to find delicious food that replicates the originals. Most reviews I read were good, so from Edmonton to Calgary on a little road trip we came. Don’t waste your time. I’m so disappointed. The first 2 onion rings were heaven, it’s been 5 years since I ate an onion ring, but after that they were just greasy. The fish and chips, fish was overcooked and fries just tasted of grease. My daughter, not celiac, had the burger (frozen patty ) on a GF bun that was hard and crumbly. I thought, for a fully GF restaurant, they would have the food nailed down. They do not. We also chose to sit at a high top closest to the kitchen - don’t make the same mistake if you dare venture into this establishment- we could only smell the grease from the fryer and had to leave as the smell was overwhelming and nauseating. Overall a very disappointed celiac experience.

I just received the most pitiful excuse for a grilled cheese. Absolutely appalling. Something I wouldn’t give to a child, let alone my dog.
This is something that should never be on a menu, let alone sold for twelve dollars. Whoever thought this was acceptable needs to sit down and eat their own trash. Save your money on that one
