my experience at side walk citizen was the best experience i’ve ever had in my life. our front of house, Brendan Wong, was the highlight of our trip. he was dedicated, detail oriented, and very kind. when i was unsure of what to order (as everything looked absolutely delicious) he gave me the best recommendation on what to eat. he chose the most delicious sandwich this place has to offer and the pastry was to die for. if Brendan Wong had not been there i wouldn’t have known what to get. this young and dapper man is an inspiration to us all and an exemplary example of the person we should all be today. anyone should be so lucky to meet him. if you go to sidewalk citizen bakery just shout out a little hope and prayer that you get a glimpse of the magnificent Brendan Wong

Brendan Wong went above and beyond to make this the best dining experience of my life. He was kind, helpful and all around a star. If I could give 10 stars I would. The food was excellent, based on his suggestions. I had the salmon sandwich,
which was exquisite! The chocolate croissant was also incredible. Thank you Brendan, Sidewalk Citizen Extroadonaire!

I use to love their bread a couple years ago, went last week and bought a sourdough loaf that was rock hard when I got home (hadn’t noticed when I picked it up) and tasted pretty acidic. Not good, and definitely not worth the price.

Thank you Noah! My wife and I did not realize the Restaurant was about to close. Despite this you still took care of us with a huge smile and no complaints. The entire staff was so polite and as always the food was fantastic. I really appreciate it.

It’s an amazing place .. my favourite bakery n must try almond croissant.. I think it’s one of the best I have had .. it’s a must visit . Small cozy and comforting food ..

The worst bakery I’ve experienced in my life. The bread they gave me was squished. The service was terrible. The two girls at the front were rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. I have never had this experience at Cobs. The response given by the business is false. I never raised my voice. All I asked was to have my bread cut and was treated with disrespect and yelled at because I wanted to understand why. I will be sharing my experience with as many people as I can. Thank you. :)

Edit: Your staff did yell at me and was extremely rude and hostile. How would I not allow your staff to give me an answer to my question? That doesn't make sense, does it? After talking about your bakery to friends in the neighborhood, other people have confirmed your staff to be very rude.

Clearly there are others that continue to have the same horrible service experience as me. You and your staff should take training in how to treat people with kindness and respect. 🙂

The most genuinely kind service staff I have encountered in a long, long time. They were engaging, talked directly to our kids, and help solve the small issue with our error in seconds.

We had a mix of baked goods, I had the chicken sausage breakfast sandwich on sour dough. I’m still thinking about it.

Thank you to the crew, we will make an effort to visit more often when we are downtown!
