Not as good as it used to be. They still make patties but the way they put it all together on a bun is not the same. The smash fries are yummy.

They're getting better with time. They've changed their menu, but it is still great.

Ive had $1 burgers and $50 burgers all over the world. This was by far the stinkiest burger I’ve ever had. I took two bites and threw it in the trash. If you crave a burger and want to drop $20 on a meal avoid this place!

I was working in Calgary from Edmonton. Stop in for a lunch. Very nice cashier was so nice too me talking about Calgary's weather. I thoroughly enjoyed the food especially when she added another order of Onions Ring for free. Great Job Lady!

UPDATE 2: I have given these folks a shot a couple of more times and the buns have improved from the initial change. Food has also been served at the right temp and cooked well. I discovered their smash tots last time, and while you don't get many, they are VERY tasty. Happy to have seen an improvement. The staff are always very good!--UPDATE: They've changed their egg buns and the size of their meat patties. I believe this ratio is one of the important things in an excellent burger. They messed it up. :( Staff continue to be great, but we've started visiting less.----One of my favourite burger places... it's not really good that it's so close to home! Share some smash fries with a friend, you won't regret it... unless you fight over them that is!!Beef burgers are great... haven't had a bad one yet!

I don't normally review fast food restaurants, but Shawna was absolutely lovely and deserves to be mentioned. She came over several times to make sure we were happy and enjoying our meals, which is totally unheard of. The burgers were also very good. Too bad we don't have this chain in Vancouver. Thank you, Shawna. I hope you like your job and they pay you well!

I kinda love their mushroom truffle burger, and the fries were just right. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and quick to take the orders. It took a while to arrive, but well worth the wait. The only thing I have to say as a negative (and I wasn't staying so to me it wasn't a big deal) was that the floor could have a good sweeping as there was some obvious debris scattered about that needed a handy broom!

Out of all the national burger chains I go to, Smashburger is where I like to go. There are two locations I can quickly drive to, but happen to choose the one in Royal Oak. I could have gone to other local burger places that's way better, but my wife and I was craving for their Mushroom Truffe Swiss. Overall, I was not happy with my burger. The taste and flavour that kept me coming back was not there. Either my taste has changed or the quality of their burger has changed. I understand that times are changing and food costs are rising, and I do consider that in my review. My perception of their burgers has changed. The service was good, but quality and standards has definitely changed.

Well the burger is BIG!(Mine had to be cooked twice as had and allergic item on it that could be an issue)For reference there is only 8onion rings for $5. Sooooo very expensive.Clean on most tables.Be prepared to pay between $20-26/ per person. As every item is individually priced.
