About WOW Chicken & Katsu (Royal Oak)

WOW Chicken & Katsu in Royal Oak provides a unique Korean-style fried chicken experience with crispy and juicy results. The cozy atmosphere is ideal for hanging out or studying, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bakery is also notable for its fresh and delicious cakes and pastries.

The chicken skin is light and crispy, while the chicken itself is juicy. The original chicken is great, but the saucy options are even better. Portions are generous, with plenty of fries, and the food is not too greasy. The atmosphere inside is nice and clean, making it perfect for a casual meal.

The bakery staff are wonderful, greeting customers at the door and guiding them to tasty pastries and coffee. Service is fast and attentive, with staff going out of their way to ensure a satisfactory experience. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with a level entrance and ample space inside to maneuver. Tables and chairs can be moved to accommodate different needs.

Overall, WOW Chicken & Katsu is a go-to spot for fried chicken, with great value for the price and plenty of parking, making it super convenient for customers.

We have had chicken from Wow many times. But this review is focused on the bakery, which is amazing! The staff were excited to serve us, really friendly & helpful. Everything is baked in house each morning. The donuts are too good to try and explain. You need to visit and experience it for yourself. Thanks for all you do. We can’t wait to keep coming back!

Delicious deep fried everything! The Katsu and chicken is amazing here.

I love both their chicken and their katsu! Usually get take-out but the dining room is cosy and clean. However, I just saw that the owners took the shallot katsu off of the menu; WHY!!! That was my wife's and my favorite katsu! The honey mustard sauce and the freshly grated shallot made it the best! Please bring it back!
