Tamarind Vietnamese Grill & Noodle House

We had the crispy wonton starter and then a sticky rice dish and a noodle dish for main. There was good variety of veg with each and the mock beef, mock shrimp, and tofu added great texture. All that for around 60 Canadian dollars (including 20% tip)!

Had the pad Thai and the eggplant stir fry and both were delicious. Service was good too. Would definitely eat here again if ever back in Calgary.

TAMARIND IS DEFINITELY ONE MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS! Me and my parents come here like almost every week for 3 and a half years, we love it here! I’ve been vegetarian for 5 years, and my parents aren’t. But we all love the food here! I’d definitely recommend it to others! :)

Went for the peanut sate pho. I'm on a strict diet only meat and veg so I had to skip the rice noodles, got veg and extra meat instead. The broth was probably one of the best I've had so far definitely top 3. The beef and tripe was cooked perfectly and you definitely could tell there was extra tripe added because it lasted till the last spoon full...the size of the bowl was also noticeably larger than other pho restaurants , it wad a challenge to finish all the broth. I don't think I'd be able to do it if I was to get the soup including all the noodles. I went on a Friday night place wasn't busy at all , but there was no shortage of Uber drivers picking up orders , meaning people definitely enjoy their food. Great prices for the amount and quality of the food

The portion sizes were huge and the food was very tasty. We came on a Monday afternoon and we're the only customers sitting in. The waiter was either very shy or just rude but the overall experience was good.

Delicious food

The food is good value for money and tasty but the service I’ve experienced was unfortunately very poor. The waiter was monotone, unenthusiastic and seemingly annoyed that we came to eat as there was nobody else dining.

Overall, disappointing.
With such high reviews, I assumed it would be much better than I experienced.

Walking into the restaurant, I had no clue what I just went into. The place was quiet and awkward, it felt like I walked into the wrong place based off the reviews.

Once the food came, it was quite tasteless and oily. Will most likely not come back.

Walked in not knowing it was a vegan restaurant and wow it was great. The food was delicious and better than many meat vietnamese dishes I've had elsewhere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great value for money and large portions.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food was delicious (you MUST try the crepe), HUGE portions, and very cheap. You won’t regret going there. Bring friends and share a few plates.
