“This review pertains to their Sunday brunch. Great experience ! Host and our server were super friendly and welcoming. Love the old speakers and soda machines which adorn the walls but the whole place has a cool modern atmosphere mixed with nostalgic photos and vibes. I had the French toast and my mom had the eggs Benny both were great - Can't beat 5$ mimosas (try the pineapple one). Will definitely add this to my list of go to places when I'm in Calgary - will return to try their evening menu and shot of the day they advertise ! Thank you!“

“My wife had attending this restaurant some time back and enjoyed her experience, atmosphere and food. Passing through the area, she wanted me to experience the food.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The time to get the food after ordering was very quick. The food was amazing.

“What a great place! We visited on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed drinks, the bar tender recommended me a Japanese whisky for a take on a Manhattan and it was excellent. Ambiance of a New York place with friendliness of a Calgary host 10/10“

“The best culinary experience you could possibly get for the price. The food was prepared with the upmost attention to detail. We did the Yakitori Omakase (15 course meal with drink pairings). The specially reserved seats in front of the kitchen offer a show, not just the meal. Our server Adam provided an 11/10 service, explaining the intricacies of each dish and how the each drink was tied into the given course. They also offer you the option to purchase 3 ounces of the 45 day beeswax aged A5 Waygu (which we also purchased and highly recommend to take in the full experience). You will not leave hungry, or unsatisfied in any way. If you’re in Calgary, you have to visit Shokunin.“

“I went for the first time last night. I was so impressed with the measures the waiter and cooking staff took to ensure I didn't come in contact with my food allergies, the sharing plates concept was brilliant, and the food was delicious. Whenever I'm in Calgary again, I will be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!“

“Complimentary breakfast for selected Bonvoy members are served in the 2nd floor at Bistro Novello. Each voucher can be redeemed for one set of breakfast and a coffee or tea, but our serve was nice enough to let us substitute for orange juices instead.
My friend opted for the full breakfast while I went with the berries pancake. Both are freshly prepared and plentiful - more than enough food for both of us.
TIP: you may ask to sit by the window where you get a lot of natural lighting instead of by the bar.“

“Largest selection of wines by the bottle/glass in Calgary. Food improves everytime we go there. Best live jazz on thursdays in Calgary without cover charge. Kids are welcome. Lots of free parking.“
