“Lovely service and delicious food. We sat on the patio. They have an open mic night every Saturday. Generally adequate space to navigate with my walker, though all the guitars from what I understand was a particularly busy open mic night did get in the way of my walker on the way to the washroom. However, those aren't usually there. They have a good sized accessible washroom on the gallery side. And it was lovely to be able to see their main floor exhibit. We did not look at the basement gallery as there was stairs to access it.“

“One of our go to restaurants for sushi. Quality is always fresh and delicious. Great variety for my kids who are extremely picky eaters. Great service making sure our drinks are fully topped off and clearing dishes off the table. A must visit.“

“Perfect time at 1 pm during the week to meet up with friends or family for a relaxed lunch. A delightful escape from the busy world! The food was so flavorful and above expectations, we enjoyed the Romesco and warm pita with the Cerignola Olives as an appie. The grilled halloumi and Paprika prawns were devoured! No room for desserts“

“Very nice selection of drinks focused on Japanese whiskey, but with a nice variety of other drinks. The Negroni was very tasy. Service is excellent, atmosphere is great, record player on the bar providing a nice back drop.

“A nice cozy upscale wine bar with a large wine list and charcuterie options. Small and large plates on menu...we had a selection...all tasty and excellent with our wine pairings. Only downside was the service seemed unorganized with several people approaching us as servers. Unfortunately one had dirty nails and could have been groomed much better. I didn't put this in my star rating as I'm hoping it will be addressed. Other than that a great place to grab a bite and have some wine romantically or with friends.“

“The best culinary experience you could possibly get for the price. The food was prepared with the upmost attention to detail. We did the Yakitori Omakase (15 course meal with drink pairings). The specially reserved seats in front of the kitchen offer a show, not just the meal. Our server Adam provided an 11/10 service, explaining the intricacies of each dish and how the each drink was tied into the given course. They also offer you the option to purchase 3 ounces of the 45 day beeswax aged A5 Waygu (which we also purchased and highly recommend to take in the full experience). You will not leave hungry, or unsatisfied in any way. If you’re in Calgary, you have to visit Shokunin.“

Its not always easy catering to travel ball groups, but she made us feel so welcome and it was a pleasure dealing with her. Will definitely be back! Food was great“

“We’ve visited Veranda at The Stables several times, and it consistently delivers—great location, superior service, and a vibrant atmosphere. On our most recent visit, management went above and beyond after a previous double charge was made in error. Amanda, in particular, was incredibly friendly and professional, and our server was excellent throughout. The way the team handled the mistake—promptly and graciously—earned our trust and kept us loyal. Highly recommend.“

“Largest selection of wines by the bottle/glass in Calgary. Food improves everytime we go there. Best live jazz on thursdays in Calgary without cover charge. Kids are welcome. Lots of free parking.“

“To be honest, I kind of feel like I don't want to share my experience... it's my lunchtime secret! 😄 But seriously, everyone deserves to enjoy the stunning views of our beautiful city while indulging in an ADULT Grilled Cheese — it's absolutely delicious. The butternut squash soup tastes like something Nana would make, warm and comforting. And don't even get me started on the burger... it's next-level. Amazing views, a relaxing atmosphere, incredible service, and mouthwatering food — all at a great price point. What more could you ask for?“

I was so impressed with the measures the waiter and cooking staff took to ensure I didn't come in contact with my food allergies, the sharing plates concept was brilliant, and the food was delicious.
