Had an amazing dining experience, we had the 5 course dinner and it was delicious. Service was great, staff very friendly and excited to serve us. Would recommend anyone wanting a fine dining experience. Personally, the oysters my favourite! The drinks were also well made.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the decor is very nice.
The food is so incredible!
I've ordered the Steak Diane both times I went, and still I'm amazed how beautiful the presentation is. The potatoes are probably the best I've ever had as well. This restaurant cooks with love and experience.
They even do tableside bananas foster and cherries jubilee.
The staff is also very polite and accommodating.
This restaurant has it all.
I highly recommend it! 🥂👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lovely traditional French restaurant with table side service in Kensington. The lobster bisque and crepes Suzette were delightful, as was the meaty sauce that came with the Wellington. Bravo!

My girlfriend and I dined here for our Anniversary in April. We selected the 7 course Executive Chef's Tasting Menu. This was easily the best meal we've had in Calgary. Everything was full of flavor and it all blended together perfectly. The music fit the vibe of the interior and Eric is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Dawn (The Chef) also took the time to come out after our meal and indulge in conversation with us.

This is our third visit to The Continental Restaurant YYC and it remains our absolute favorite dining spot in Calgary.

A wonderful dining experience at this hidden gem. Intimate atmosphere, top notch service, tasteful drinks and delicious food. One of the better meals I’ve had in a while. I will definitely be back!

This was the best restaurant experience I have had in quite a while! Eric is an excellent host, the drinks are very good, and the food is perfect. My wife had Steak Diane I had Beef Wellington, which tend to be either mushy or underdone if not prepared carefully. This was on the money. The crab cakes to start were just right, very nice flavoring. Eric supplied a glass of perfect Bordeaux to go with my meal. Cherries Jubilee finished us off. And to top it off, excellent value! I have spent more for less many times, not this time. Thank you so much for a great evening.

This is honestly one of the best meals and evenings in the city. From perfectly balanced cocktails to incredible classic/ modern French cuisine. There is no wrong path you can take here, do yourself favour and experience the continental yourself

We try the flat bread, salmon, chicken, and rack of lamb. They are all so good, our first visit will be back for sure.

Visited the place with wife to check out the 7-course chef's tasting menu, with wine pairing. Everything checked out very well. The following week, we invited our couple friends at this same place. Everyone was so satisfied and happy with the experience. Great food, great wine paring, and excellent atmosphere to converse on-and-on. Thank you continental YYC for the treasured hospitality!

I've been wanting to try this place ever since it opened. You don't see many restaurants in town anymore that do the classic European dishes. I really miss that. So when I saw the menu for The Continental I just had to go. Chateaubriand, beef wellington, canard au cerise, steak Diane, oysters Rockefeller, foie gras. All classic dishes! I had the canard au cerise and it was amazing! Definitely recommend trying out this place.

We were here for the 3-course lunch YYC experience. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and great combinations. The staff paid attention to detail and provided excellent service. Plus unbeatable price!! We enjoyed our lunch very much and will definitely come back for dinner :P

I was excited to visit The Continental, having heard wonderful things about the food. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the menu promised a delightful culinary experience. I decided to surprise my fiancé, and made a reservation for the YYC 5 course dinner with wine pairing. However, unfortunately, my visit was overshadowed by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the single front of house staff (possibly owner) on a Friday evening dinner service.

Upon arrival, Pierce seemed distracted and surprised even, in acknowledging our presence for the booked reservation. Perhaps we came in at a time where he was caught in a rush; taking orders, making drinks and taking phone calls. We were sat, with our choice of table, which I did appreciate.

Drink orders were taken eventually, a few cocktails which were great, and we were explained of the courses to come. After receiving our first course, I kindly reminded our server of the wine pairing, to which he replied, “Well you haven’t paid for it yet!” As a previous restaurant manager myself, this threw me off as I had assumed it was implied when the booking was made. He rudely followed with, “So what do you want, I can do the pairing or get you a glass.” While I asked that we go ahead with the pairing, it undoubtedly set the tone for the rest of the dining experience. The next courses felt rushed and dismissive, not to mention quite uncomfortable. We decided to ask for the cheque, and the chef kindly packed the main and dessert courses to take with us.

While the food certainly lived up to the hype and was delicious, the treatment from Pierce left a sour taste. It’s a shame that such a great culinary experience was marred by a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism.

It’s clear that hospitality is a huge part of the dining experience, and unfortunately, it was sorely lacking here. I hope the management takes the time to address these issues, as it detracts from what could otherwise be an exceptional restaurant.

***Edit*** Your answer shows how unprofessional and condescending you are. Not sure why you are referring to me as arrogant and demeanor when I only order food. That review was honest, but you just didn't like it. In fact you don't like any bad reviews you received ... Anyway if you feel everything is perfect, good for you.

Don't be foul by the reviews made by people who probably never go gastronomic restaurant, only the price is gastronomy here. The food is just basic, with every single dish coming with the same side, doesn't matter if you take a fish, chicken and beef, you'll have 3 carrots and mash potatoes, on the starters we even found spicy mayonnaise that we can find at Walmart. Waiters have no clue of his menu and if you don't drink alcohol and want a coke or some sort of pop for the kids, nope, they don't have that.
Avoid at all cost as it will cost a lot for supermarket food.

Food very average. Same sides for all dishes. Service is slow. Will not come back very pricey and quality is not in line.
