Our 7 course meal was extraordinary with lovely wine pairings. We particularly loved the tenderloin with fois, sable fish and oyster Rockefeller. The service was personable & top notch!

Best beef Wellington in Calgary by far! Beef tartare could be improved on, but overall the rest of the meal was delicious. Service was also great. Loved the small quiet location, a really nice ambience.

This was our second visit to the Continental and for the most part it was amazing. Where things went off the track was desert which was “broiled or baked?” Hard to know not being a chef myself. However one of the pears was outright raw which I pointed out when the server came to check. This on top of my wife making sure that everything was gluten free which the pear has cookie crumbs on it and his reply was he didn’t know despite it being on the reservation plus the other server was well aware and made reference when we first came in. Our servers reply was well just push it over to one side???? Nothing about I’m sorry what can we do to look after you. And the raw pear was just basically ignored so after having all the courses we had and had complimented etc on we left with a bad taste in our mouth over the lack of caring over the desert course and the gluton issue. By the way our bill was something like 450.00 so we might question whether we should go back or not???

Nice second floor restaurant overlooking the street. Front of restaurant was open to the street on a nice day. One person greeted, took drink and food order, served and cleared. Very smooth. Salmon, duck and strip steak were excellent. Warm and friendly. Very accommodating for several dietary issues

An exceptional dining experience! Hoping to try something different, a group of 9 of us booked the 7 Course Tasting Menu with Wine Paring to celebrate a milestone anniversary and birthday. Our party included some individuals who can be hard to impress, and every single one of us was blown away.

The place really feels like a hidden gem.

Everything, from the food to the wine to the atmosphere to the service, was excellent, and it was the perfect spot to celebrate such a special night.

Of the seven courses, there was not a single miss, and all of us agreed that several of the dishes (especially the oysters and risotto) were in fact the very best we had ever had, which is huge accolades.

The restaurant is run by a husband and wife, Eric and Dawn, both of who are extremely lovely. These days, it feels rare and very special to have the owners also front of house providing personalized service. Eric tended to us and Dawn created our amazing meals. They were excellent at accommodating our dietary requests, and specifically crafted the menu based on our preferences. Both the anniversary and birthday were wonderfully acknowledged, making for a very festive and celebratory evening.

The wine was perfectly paired with the delicious dishes, and pours were extremely generous. The tasting menu felt like an excellent value.

The restaurant only has 30 seats; in smaller venues, sometimes the food or service can (understandably) suffer when you have a larger party, but not here! Everything was flawless for each and every one of us.

The ambiance was great; chairs were extremely comfortable and the background music was a perfect volume; we all really appreciated that we could hear each other and enjoy each other’s conversations (which also seems hard to find in restaurants these days).

The experience was approximately 3 hours and was intimate, impressive, and also a ton of fun. It truly is fine dining without being stuffy.

Thank you so much to Eric, Dawn, and the lovely servers for a fantastically enjoyable evening, and for making such an important night so special and so memorable. We will definitely be back!

One of the best European cuisine restaurants!

The owner provided superb service as waiter and sommelier, balancing our needs and meal timings with the other diners. We were able to mix 5 course tasting with 2 course a la carte. Everything was very good and achieved French bistro standard.

Had an amazing dining experience, we had the 5 course dinner and it was delicious. Service was great, staff very friendly and excited to serve us. Would recommend anyone wanting a fine dining experience. Personally, the oysters my favourite! The drinks were also well made.
