The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Market Mall

Went here with my family for a birthday, Nick was amazing and made the experince worth it. he went above and beyond and deserves to be commended for it. Food was solid, their prime rib is well worth the price, the twice baked potato is a great addition to the meal too.

Be aware it can get a bit loud at the back with the music and other tables talking if its packed.

Overall, A great experince I'll return again soon.

The wait staff was very helpful and attentive to my allergies. The food was great.

Aiden, our server, was fantastic! He was very personable, attentive, and provided great service throughout our meal. He made us feel welcome and ensured everything was taken care of. The experience was excellent, and Aiden's friendly attitude really stood out. We look forward to coming back!

A group of us came to celebrate some June birthdays on Friday.

We had a reservation at 6:30 pm, but were seated at 6:50, a 20 minute wait. While we were waiting the lobby was packed, but some of the hosts were nice enough to hand out wine samplers to appease the crowd. Not enough seats for everyone to sit down.

This place is loud and dark, we were seated at the lounge side and I had to lean across the table to hear my friend, and pull out my phone to light up the menu.

Our server was very lovely but very busy, it took an additional 20 minutes to order after being seated and our food arrived an hour later. Thankfully they brought out bread for our table after ordering, and our appetizer of cheesy bread arrived within 15 minutes. Both were delicious.

I ordered the 14oz Prime Rib, medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatos were very good, and the prime rib portion was huge but unfortunately the meat had very little taste.

My friend ordered the prime rib well done, which they cooked well but over seasoned.

My other friend ordered the prime rib sandwich, which was very very good. However their side of ceasar salad was bland.

So food was a hit or a miss.

The server came around to ask how the food was once, and then again to say they were delivering birthday desserts, which turned out to be the Billy Miner Pie. They mocha ice cream cake was very good, and they were free due to the birthdays

I probably wouldn't return, there's better places to get better prime rib at comparable prices in Calgary, and the long wait time for everything left me very unimpressed

I love the keg. It has great food and usually great service but there is a serious disconnect with to go orders. I have family in wheelchairs which makes to go options usually much easier. I get that a high end resteraunt is not focused on to go but when the fail rate hits 40% something does need attention. Had a to go tonight. They were unexpectedly busy which I get. I showed up for my food and was told to wait 20 more so I did a lap of the mall. That's not a problem I would rather have it fresh and made right and I got neither. It was missing caramelized onions, cheese, Au jus and ketchup and I got a call once I was already home that my order was ready. So did I get someone else's that was close to mine or did they have some other issue. I have noticed a large staff change because I am a regular and it just seems things are being lost in the shuffle. I love your food but this is the fourth time in my last four visits that things have gone wrong. My last dine in my ceaser salad was completely missed even though it was paid for in a classic dinner combo. I am not saying do not go because their food is great but they need to pay a bit more attention or create some system where things are not missed in a rush. I have had many great experiences at the keg. I hope they once again become the norm.

Rather than just corporate speach it would have been nice to get a real response. Went again and it was just as bad. Sorry but now its 1 star... don't worry I wont be back... lost a 25 year customer.

I did email their response email... got asked to verify my order I did with a picture of the receipt then nothing... that is not customer relations its customer ignoring... im sad that a great resteraunt has failed me too many times to forgive. You no longer deserve my patronage.

We are originally from Newfoundland however, we have been living in Fort McMurray the last couple years. My son is 4 and has been diagnosed with Leukemia so we have been staying in Calgary to be near the Children’s hospital. My son has been begging for Lobster. So we went to the Keg in Market Mall for his treat after a hard day at the Hospital. When I say I have never had such a good dining experience as this restaurant I am not exaggerating. The waiter (a male, can’t remember his name) was so accommodating and such a great person! The manager even came out and spoke to us regarding every dish for my son since his immune system was down! Honestly, best dining experience! Thank you for making my sons day 🤎 I never write reviews but I feel this place deserves 10 stars!

The Keg was a lovely experience to celebrate our dad. Delicious steaks, lovely atmosphere, and a server who made everything so enjoyable for us. Katie B is rockin it! She knows the menu & was attentive in the perfect way to make our night out the most fun. Superior service & the Billy Miner pie is still the best dessert I've ever had, anywhere!

We took our Dad here for an early Father’s Day dinner. Our server Katie B. was super personable and funny, and made us feel so welcome. Our food and wine was so delicious and we got to take advantage of the great happy hour as well as the Father’s Day boneless rib eye special. And a visit to the Keg is not complete without their famous Billy Miner pie! Thanks Katie for providing us with a memorable night out!

If you love steak, The Keg is the place to go! We always enjoy coming here, whether it’s for a special occasion or just because we’re craving a great steak.
It’s a little pricey, but the food is always worth it. My 2 kids had all prime Rib and I had sirloin & crab.
The steaks are consistently delicious, the service is great, and the ice cream cake dessert was absolutely amazing..so good!
Life is short, enjoy the steak while you can! We’ll definitely be back again.

Service was great. It wasn't overly noisy, but not quite either. I had the New York strip, it was okay, but for that price there shouldn't be any chewy parts to the steak. The rest of the party were satisfied with the food.
