Thank you to all the staff at The Keg Market Mall for making our Anniversary dinner a memorable experience like all the other anniversaries we have experienced here ! Huge thank you to Liam (manager) and our server, Sergio and the Bartenders as well as the Hostesses that all treated us so incredibly special … we can’t thank you enough ! Shout out to the chefs as the food was amazing as usual !

My family and I (4 of us) came in November 12th to celebrate my birthday. I have never had a bad experience at any Keg... until that night. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.

We were sat promptly after arriving. Our waitress took a while to show up (about 15 minutes) and took our drink order. A soda and mixed smoothy drink took over 10 minutes to arrive. They did arrive with hot bread and butter. Refills took a long time to arrive throughout the evening.

Dinner arrived about 30 minutes after ordering. All our food was amazing, as usual. My wife and I both had prime rib. My kids had Keg burgers. No complaints about the food.

We were presented with a dessert menu and again our waitress disappeared for a long time. Throughout the night she took a long time to refill drinks and come back around. I've never experienced such slow service at the Keg. I was kind of expecting a birthday cake slice. I guess they don't do that anymore. They did during our anniversary dinner in May.

I'm not one to complain, and I never thought I would about the Keg, but here we are. I want to be clear: food was amazing, and what we expect, but the service was slow and ruined the vibe of our night. I don't normally tip anything lower than 22% at the Keg (usually higher) but tonight I did 15%... and that was generous.

I hope this feedback reaches the right people so service can improve.

It had been several years since I visited the Keg; unfortunately, it will likely be many more before I return. I am unsure if the kitchen was having a bad day, if someone was feeling disgruntled, or if the standard has simply gone down in the other direction of the prices.

The wait staff and hostesses were very polite, friendly, and professional.

The teriyaki sirloin was like a brick. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry, had a crust, and looked like the were squeezed out of a tube. My son still has an upset stomach the next day.
My prime rib plate was a little better, but looked like everything was just thrown on the plate without much thought. My horseradish was half-empty and brown on the surface from sitting out so long, and had the consistency of slightly damp sawdust.
I have been to various Keg locations many times over the past 25 years, and this was an unpleasant surprise.

Celebrating a 93rd birthday and we’re off to a bad start. It’s been more than 10 years since I have been to a Keg, it will likely be another 10 years before I return. Reservations booked several days in advance for 6:00, it’s been 40 minutes since we arrived and we’re still waiting.

Update: in the end the manager went out of her way to make our dining experience an enjoyable one. Nick our server was excellent and would recommend him to anyone dining at the Market Mall Keg. The manager apologized for the long wait and waived all our appetizers which was totally unnecessary and unexpected but appreciated. In the end our experience was an enjoyable one. Thank you for making my dad’s 93rd birthday a memorable one.

The Keg - Market Mall Calgary, AB- goes above and beyond.

There service and food are always delicious every time we visit. It is a personal fav of my family for special occasions etc.

Manager Brittany Ferguson is amazing. She was able to make our nephew's recent birthday a special one despite him being in the Children's hospital. We were able to arrange a take out meal with her and she took care of everything else. It was ready and waiting for me on a hectic snowy day.

This keg was on par with every other keg meaning reliable very good food. However, our party of nine with four small children was blown away by the service. They brought out bread as usual, but then additionally brought each kid a small nibble plate of fruits and vegetables with dip to keep them satisfied until dinner came, I’ve never experienced this amount of thoughtfulness in the restaurant Thank you.

The lounge is fantastically comfortable for an intimate experience even in large groups. The restaurant portion seemed very family focused in some portions while others were dim light. Service didn’t leave anything to be desired but the food was delicious !!! [Calamari was fine just not the best cause you’re in the West] I’d have to say with the lack of fantastic service and a feeling of rush due to a long line the price paid hurt at the end and diminished the experience. Felt like we’d have been better off at a Moxie’s or Earls for a broader menu and same experience.

Everybody has an off day but the tremendous recovery of Laura the Culinary Manager was exceptional. Without many reliable family restaurants in the area, this location is our neighbourbood local. Today's steak was way overdone and potato was cold in the center and Laura jumped in and made the situation right immediately. Thanks for the great service on an off day!

Nice intimate atmosphere with excellent table service. My steak ordered rare was more on the side of medium rare, but this was most likely because they wanted to bring out everyone's food around the same time and our group was on the larger side. Our server was so accommodating, I just didn't have the heart to send it back. 🤭

Amazing service and excellent flavors. We had the calamari, blue cheese wedge salad, and the bacon wrapped filet's. Everything was cooked to perfection! The sourdough bread is to die for!

Dined on the outdoor patio on one of the last warm days. The noise level is moderately high with the traffic right outside the patio. Quick service. Shrimp cocktail contained five large shrimp. The sourdough bread was warm and fresh, served with seasoned butter. 7 oz bacon-wrapped filet with Bearnaise sauce was very tasty and tender, but I wished they had added more Keg seasoning. The seasonal vegetables were outstanding!!! Honestly, the steak was secondary to the veggies. It would be easier to say what vegetables were NOT on the plate than to list all that were served. Perfectly grilled and seasoned. The hamburger was very good, but we wished that the restaurant would grind their own beef so we could order the burger medium instead of always well done. Fries were okay, but we prefer ones that are crispier. All in all, very good meal and excellent service.
