Excellent dinner at the Lodge on Oct 18. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Had the Hunan Chicken bowl and Portabello mushroom burger - both delicious. Attentive, friendly service from Jay. Will definitely return.
Nice looking place. I wasn’t sure if I could park in the underground lot, but they validate, so do that, street parking nearby wasn’t easy. Pretty quiet for a weekday lunch. Food was average pub quality. A little pricey for what you get.
The Lodge Kitchen & Bar in Kensington is exactly what the Calgary dining scene needs more of: a warm, deeply welcoming, and beautifully executed concept that wraps you up the moment you walk through the door.

Based on the reviews, The Lodge Kitchen & Bar offers a unique style, excellent food, and tasty cocktails, providing high dollar quality at neighbour pub prices. The atmosphere is super great and cozy, with decor that helps dampen the noise level, making it a very pleasant place even when busy. The music is at a perfect level to hear but not require speaking over. The staff is very friendly, with skilled and engaging servers. The cocktails are skillfully crafted with excellent variety. Specific meals mentioned include the fondue, gyoza, tuna tostada, duck wings, and French onion soup, all described as amazing and excellent. The kitchen handles dietary needs without fuss. For a birthday, the chef went above and beyond to reconstruct a damaged cake, a very kind and thoughtful gesture. The management and owner are helpful and kind. All in all, it is a great experience and highly recommended.
