Tried The Mash on 17th Ave SW for the first time last night. I had the Wild Mushroom pizza and it was excellent. A true craft pizza.
I will definitely be going back to try some of thier other pizzas

Some people say there’s no bad pizza, but those people just haven’t tried The Mash yet. This was the worst pizza I’ve ever had and I wish I could elaborate but it makes me feel sick to talk about it. If I die in the next 2 days, it was the all meat pizza at the mash that did it.

This place should 100% be on your list if you like pizza and beer. And I like pizza and beer. Went for lunch on a Thursday and had the place to ourselves. A lovely cold beer and their absolutely epic pickle and bacon pizza. "Pickle and bacon?" you ask. Hell yes. This is a taste revolution, and will alter your existence.
Service was very friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go back.

Staff were very nice . Beer and drinks were cheap and refreshing but the food wasn't all that good. The parm chicken bites weren't crispy, the pizza didn't have a lot of flavour and the dough was dry and bad.

Nice location overall, but the decor & patio are average at best. The patio tables are absurdly high, feel like a little child sitting at an adult table. The service was excellent. The pizzas we had went down well & digested well, but we're very unexceptional for toppings and flavor. Everything was good, but there is nothing that would pull me back versus any other restaurant.

I have been in their restaurant countless times eversince I started to learn about them. The staff were very good, very accommodating and really really nice. Especially Nolan and Ali. They hosted our fundraising just this July 21 and it was a huge success!! I would highly recommend their baked chicken specially the salt and pepper and honey garlic!!! Also their classic hawaiian and chicken bbq pizza are to die for!!!
Kid-friendliness: They have games for kids in their restaurant and the design of the place is also very aesthetic!!

The most cheesy amazing pizza in the city. Loaded with toppings more than pretty much anywhere with some strong flavour profiles:)

Legitimately one of the best pizzas I've had in calgary. The amount of toppings more than makes up for the smaller size. They use special dough that is more nutritional than sourdough plus easier to digest. You can even pick up on a slghhly beer flavour. Dont miss out on the cheesiness!

The atmosphere is incredibly rad here. Everything you look at is worth a longer look haha service was great! Now....The wild mushroom cauliflower crust pizza ? Hands down the best pizza I've ever put in my mouth ? I did not get a photo because I was too busy eating it, but two beautiful words, "Truffle oil" ?

We ordered 2 pizzas here after a long day at lilac festival - we picked them up. Neither were anything exceptional. Not much flavor, the texture was mushy, crust was cardboard flavored...and honestly it was just very blah for the hefty price tag of over $70, disappointing. We won't be back.
