Dude, this place is seriously amazing, it's beyond the five stars!
The staff is super nice, the atmosphere and view are great, and the food? Wow, the taste and presentation are incredible.
The chef even comes by to ask how everything is.
If you're looking for an awesome experience downtown Calgary, you gotta check this out.
A very impressive restaurant! We booked the day of for a group of 10 celebrating the night before a wedding and were pleasantly surprised to get in. They were able to put us on the outdoor (heated) patio with stunning city views during sunset. We appreciated the privacy and they even brought nice blankets when some of us felt cold. We ordered several cocktails including 4 Wilder Porn Star Martinis which included Moet Champagne and a bump of Caviar. It was fun to drink and worth the cost. Our server then brought a complimentary amuse-bouche of hasselback potato and a fiddlehead. To follow, we ordered Venison Tartare and Octopus appetizers and the entire table was pleased. For mains our group focused on the Bison, Beef and Tortellini. Personally I was torn between the Risotto and Tortellini and after trying a bite of my friend’s Risotto, I was so glad with my choice! This was one of the most delicious pasta dishes I’ve ever had and certainly the most uniquely plated Tortellini I’ve ever seen. I truly cannot recommend this dish enough. Service was impeccable and we were able to bring in a bottle of Caymus for a reasonable $35 corking fee. Overall I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant! Thank you for a memorable experience.
Really delicious buffet and incredible scenery! Totally worth it!
Great service, amazing food and outstanding views
Got booked for the wrong day, called to cancel. Had to keep calling back for over 3 hours and still never got ahold of them. And got charged $100 for it. Terrible customer service.
Do not go here. Overpriced, food is so mediocre and most of it does not taste good. I never put in a poor google review but the food is not worth it.. I would like to warn people. Looking forward to a good night out for dinner and the menu is terrible for what you get.
Honestly this has to be one of the greatest restaurants I’ve been too, the food is just awesome and you could really feel that the food is made with love, their service is really good the are really nice to their customers and as soon as I entered there was just a nice vibe going on so I would recommend!
What an evening! We did the chefs tasting menu that was about 7 courses. This food is artistry to another level! The Porn star cocktail (lol) was also decadent with that bit of caviar. What a splurge and I’m so grateful that I got to experience this. 100000/10
My wife and I went there for dinner last night, we had a reservation for 5 so not too busy at the time. I had the bison, my wife had the beef. Although mine was definitely tasty and I have no complaints about it at all, my wife's was truly excellent with 3 different kinds of mushrooms served with the beef, all were outstanding. She also had a potato with shaved truffle, also excellent. She said it was one of her top meals in the last 10 years, that says something. Luckily she wanted me to try all of the items on her plate, and she was correct, they were great. The ambience and atmosphere are fine, not outstanding. We would go there again, and both of us would order the beef (assuming they don't change it up).
Great restaurant, but disappointing service
I visited The Wilde on 27 and was impressed with the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the overall dining experience. Everything was prepared at a high level, and the presentation was excellent. However, an unpleasant moment occurred when paying the bill: the waitress was rude, implying that I should have tipped more. I always leave the standard Tips as much as I consider necessary, but demanding more is inappropriate. This slightly spoiled the evening.
The restaurant presents itself as a high-class establishment, not a roadside bar, so I would expect the staff to match that level.

Love the ambience and service, food not really. Andy the staff was the best, he made our night and should be promoted
We went to Wilde on 27 for a birthday recently. The service and food were excellent. Denise and Addis gave us outstanding attention and service. The food was excellent! The view of downtown at dusk only added to our experience. Well done!
Terrible experience – not recommended!
As soon as we walked in, no one greeted us or paid attention. I had to go find the host myself. Despite having a reservation for a specific time, we still had to wait a long time before being seated.
When I booked, I requested a table by the window, but of course, that was ignored, and we were placed against a wall. The tables are so close together that we could clearly hear conversations from the neighboring tables.
Service was painfully slow – from the moment we entered the restaurant to the time our food arrived, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The prices are outrageous, yet the portions are small and the food is disappointing. The only dish that was actually good was the duck, but for $60, all you get is a single leg on a plate. The meat was overly sweet, and it really needed at least a small salad or some sides. The bison meat was completely tasteless.
To top it all off, on Valentine’s Day, they were giving flowers to women as they left – yet for some reason, our table was skipped.
And at the end, the payment terminal wasn’t working, so we were forced to pay in cash. How is that even acceptable?
Overall, a horrible experience. Definitely would not return.
Where do I even begin? This was the most awful experience. For a restaurant with such prices, the service, food, and atmosphere were just abysmal. Why offer a lounge if you don't actually have one? It feels more like a hotel waiting area—cold and completely uninviting for relaxation or an enjoyable time. The food was terrible, the menu was sparse and boring, and those were the worst oysters I have ever tried. The drinks were disappointing as well, and the service was only saved by the bartender because the waiter never came to our table even once. We waited 20 minutes for water and then another 20 minutes for our drinks.
This is one of my favourite restaurants to go to. Perched atop the 27th floor of The Dorian Hotel, The Wilde on 27 offers a luxurious dining experience with stunning city views. I initially went for the standout Chef’s Tasting Menu which features meticulously crafted dishes like scallop with apple amazake, Cape d’Or salmon, and shio koji striploin bison, all paired with expertly selected wines. I really enjoyed my experience there. Did you know that the Dorian hotel also received Michelin key in 2024?
With a focus on seasonal ingredients and artistic presentation, the food is as memorable as the ambiance refined, imaginative, and unforgettable.
I highly recommend you try out this place.
