Amazing service! Chef Allan was very kind and consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. He even served the food to us, and since it was my first time at the restaurant, he gave great recommendations based on my preferences. Our server, Irene, was very helpful and friendly always making sure our water was refilled, checking on us from time to time, and clearly explaining the menu. She was very accommodating and happy to answer all of our questions. Overall, it was an amazing experience with outstanding customer service.

We attended the Christmas buffet at the 6:45 seating. We were seated promptly which was nice considering the large number of people in line. Service deteriorated from there. We could not get a server to come near so could not get a drink other than water. We found the food to be decent but not of a value of $145 per person. I found cold broccoli, cold cauliflower and warm veggies which should not have been on the serving table at all. Roast beef was of poor quality. The person carving did not seem to be bothered. I do think more staff would be a help. Interestingly enough we did have a smiling server when it was time to pay. We would not go back.

We are in Calgary for a conference. I met coworkers for dinner. We all ordered at the same time - I requested no onion and garlic. We waited maybe 45 minutes. Everyone's food came except mine. People were actually finished their dinner when my steak bites finally arrived. I was about 1/4 through when someone - not our server- came out and literally the plate out from under me saying they sent the wrong bread... I said it was fine, I wouldn't eat the bread. But he just took it abruptly and left. I waited another 10 minutes and they delivered another serving - with different bread and some quite awful (totally different) seasoning. Because our group was 8+ a gratuity was applied automatically. It ultimately cost me $35 for an appetizer that I didn't enjoy, with terrible service. Lucky for me, onion and garlic cause inflammation and not anaphylaxis.

Would I eat here again Yes!!! Would I have Lillian our sever serve me again. Heck no!!!!! She ruined our birthday party demanding a tip. She was a horrible rude server. The birthday girl was so offended by her comments that lead to her having tears. Thanks so much Lillian for the experience. You definitely need to work in the back.

Last night, our team of eight chose Thomson's for a group dinner, drawn in by the warm and inviting atmosphere—and the experience exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent, but the food was the standout.
I have to specifically highlight the Saskatoon Berry Chicken Supreme. It absolutely lives up to its name; it was the best I have ever had. It is rare for a dish to make that kind of impression. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Calgary. Thank you to the kitchen and service team for a fantastic evening.

We were a large group that came in about 8pm on a Tuesday evening. The menu has a very good selection and prices are reasonable. The drink menu was pricy. Service was good but a little slow. The food was hot and tasty.

Previously came on a Sunday afternoon as they indicated on their website it is a full day happy hour on a flames home game but they said nope… Sunday only brunch. Guess that overrides it but didn’t indicate as such anywhere…

The business lunch was a great fit for those of us who has one hour lunch. The lunch is usually very good. However, this week is spicy meatball. We ordered it anyway and asked for a low sodium diet. The salad and dessert were great but the main dish was so salty even when we ask for no added salt. Cancelled the 2 businesses lunch booked after for this week and next week. Hope they will seriously consider their selection of the main dish and the salt level for customers who require a low sodium diet.

Thompson's kitchen & bar. I have had buffet brunches around Calgary a lot. There is some very good ones out there and this one is by far one of the top 10. IT IS my favorite brunch buffet in Calgary now . They have live music very relaxing. All the food was fresh and delicious, and let me tell you about all the choices. So many delicious choices. All the desserts we're so well done and not overly sweet. And don't forget to top off your meal with a nice Caesar. You definitely won't regret going here for brunch. FOOD PORN....
