I saw many positive reviews and videos online about this place and thought it would be a fun girls night for my friends and I while we were in Calgary for the weekend. I made a reservation. Got a confirmation for the reservation and planned my entire night around the food and the drinks we were planning on having at Truth bar. We showed up 5 to 10 minutes early for the reservation. Only find that the windows were all boarded up and the bar was closed. I then tried to contact the restaurant for any sort of answers and could not get anything. We ended up going to the place next-door and asking if they knew anything about this situation they said we had not been the only ones coming in asking this week let alone tonight about this place saying it was open and being obviously not. overall very disappointed and upset about this and how I was still able to book a reservation even though we were not able to go in the restaurant because it was not open.

Bad atmosphere. The cocktails taste very generic. It’s so overpriced. The music doesn’t work sometimes. Seems to me like they aren’t trying to succeed

I in all honesty really like this place, especially with all the halloween stuff, its great. The 1 star is staying as long as theres AI art in there though. You have wall to wall halloween decor put up by hand, you dont need it. And if you want it, source it ethically 👎

So sad!!! We really wanted to support this place. Server was so nice, drinks were really good, manager very nice too. But!!! Nachos took forever… they were cold and not so good. Sorry not sorry!

Truth Bar never disappoints! We went during October and the Halloween decorations were amazing, the whole place had such a fun and cozy vibe. The food was absolutely delicious; every dish was fresh and full of flavor. We also tried a few of their cocktails, and they were so good,creative and perfectly balanced. It’s one of those places that keeps you coming back for the great atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly service. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Calgary! @its.nour.life

Such a super fun atmosphere. I hate leaving a less than five star review, because I do really want to see it be more successful because it is so unique. The decor, seating and service have been great all three times we’ve visited here. We’ve tried different cocktails, and kind of wish there were more options.. I do feel like there isn’t enough promotion of this business. While we were there, we were told about upcoming events, without that, we would never have known. I think they should stick with their vibe, tarot card or fortune teller nights, etc… and promote the heck out of them. I can’t explain how fun the decor is, how great the service has been on all occasions. I have no clue why it is not busier, aside from lack of promotion. Get the word out there!

The presentation of drinks and food was good, but the taste of nothing unusual. It looks like they need to think over the system, the poor waiters ran 10 times 1st to 3rd floor patio for orders.
Visited here after a night at national since it’s close, super amazing atmosphere and service! Will come again soon.

I had a very disappointing experience here. The shisha was poor quality — after just a few puffs it caused a headache. On top of that, they charge $3 for coals right from the start, which is unusual since most places only charge if you request a refill or change of coals.
The service was terrible, the music wasn’t enjoyable, and the food was also below expectations. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I would not recommend this place to others.

Slow service when the place wasn't really that busy. It seemed like all the waiters were trying to steal tables from each other which came off as weird vibes. Drinks were just meh for the steep prices. Later that night while discussing what our bills came to we were all really confused and realized we were likely overcharged but she never gave us an actual bill of what we ordered.

Went with a friend to have a good time and try somewhere new in Calgary. The food and drinks were good but when we got our bill we noticed that the prices on the bill vs the menu were not the same and different. It was $1 to $2 more then what was stated on the menu. Be careful when you come here and double check the bill and the menu making sure the prices are the same.

Rented out the rooftop patio for my birthday and has the best time!! From the organizing of the tables, food and service everything was great. The GM Sunny was amazing to deal with and was so responsive. They really helped in making my birthday awesome
