My experience at Bicycle Cafe was outstanding. Brian was so informative and helpful when we were discussing road bikes and local bike trails. He went above and beyond to help my husband and I. I will definitely be using this business for all my future bike needs…they also have amazing coffee, and an adorable shop dog, Molly. The best place in town!

It was 13 October 2025, and the first snow of the season had just landed in the area ❄ Everywhere you looked, it was all a lush winter landscape! I had a few spare hours, so I decided to take the bus from Banff to Canmore and explore around. After wandering through the main streets downtown for a while, I was aching for a hot chocolate and a brief refuge from the cold temperatures outside. Suddenly I remebered this café with plants I passed before, and went straight here on my way back from Policeman's Creek Trail.
Once inside, I ordered a large cup of hot chocolate I was so waiting for (BTW, the bartenders were super attentive with my order). And meanwhile, I couldn't help but notice the record collection they had behind the counter... I was their only client at the moment (others came after) and they let me choose an album to be played for me on their turntable! So there I was, sitting in their cozy window table, surrounded by plants, and watching the snow fall outside while I was enjoying a hot drink and the sound of the music I had chosen (the album was Fly Like An Eagle by Steve Miller Band, if anyone's curious).
All in all, this made for such an unexpected magical moment. I was solo traveling, and this will be one of the moments I will look back fondly the most when remembering my trip to Banff National Park. I promised them that I'll be leaving them a nice review, so there it is 😊

Great selection of bikes this late in the season. The only store around we could find a small frame ebike for my wife. Patient sales guys and went above and beyond to set up her new bike to fit her well. Added accessories we purchased onto the bike and had us out the door in under 30 minutes ready to ride. Highly recommend this shop, the amount of customers coming into this location and making purchases says a lot about the level of customer service and products sold here. Thanks again fellows.

Needed help with my derailer on my way from Lake Louise to Calgary. The folks here were very helpful and got me going quickly! Thank you so much! The rest of my ride was fantastic.
Went to change the pedals on my grandma's bike (installed by cafe) and couldn't without a pry bar. They didn't use grease or washers and the pedals are basically seized on. Also, they cut the der cable so short, way to hard to adjust anything like that

Such a wonderful bike shop - the team here are the best. Every member of staff is always exceptionally friendly and helpful every time we go in. For years now Noah has been ever present when we visit, providing extremely patient and knowledgeable assistance each and every time. Luca, Ollie and Kyle have also been super helpful when assisting with general questions and a warranty issue ( I think I got all the names right).
