Being a bakery I had expectations that the crust and dough would be very good. My expectations were exceeded. Absolutely amazing crust and dough on this Za. Unfortunately everything else was merely good. The Salami was good, but overcooked. Uprising also falls into the common trap of Canmore Pizza joints by scrimping on the sauce. When I got home, I was surprised to see a raspberry danish instead of the blueberry I ordered and paid for. I did try it instead of going back. I didn’t like it at all….and the problem was not the wrong fruit…The dough tasted like a sweet bread not like French pastry. For the price, I prefer Fournil Bakery for my pastries in Canmore. The two sourdoughs I bought, I have yet to try them. The whole vibe and attitude was a bit off…it wasn’t even busy, but somehow they didn’t...
Great location, tons of seating, clean place. Food was very delicious, a little pricey but worth it for the experience. We had a great time here although we found some of the staff to be not as friendly.
