Literally the worst casino anywhere. At least 5 times I have come here and dropped insane amounts of money like thousands of dollars without ever once winning anything. Stay away. and no table games. Also I am 33 years old, have not been Id’d in probably the last 10 years and this dude studied my id like it was going out of style. Very weird experience. Will never come back to the casino portion.
My son and I stopped there on the way back to his place in Edmonton. The staff there is very friendly and the food is very good i enjoyed it would go back again
Needs a covered or indoor area for families with children. Fantastic day with the kids, until weather changed.
Nice casino
Great place to gamble i never win but nor do i anywhere else
This review is strictly for the finish line restaurant.
The horse racing itself was enjoyable and the view of the track was excellent, but the buffet was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had, especially at nearly $50 per person.
The buffet selection was surprisingly limited. The carving station featured roast beef that was dry, tough, and overcooked. Oddly, there wasn’t even mashed potatoes to accompany it, and the gravy tasted like it came straight from a powdered mix.
Aside from the carving station, the entire hot food selection consisted of ONLY roasted yams, chicken dumplings, dry Korean BBQ pork, a dish labeled “bibimbap” that bore little resemblance to the real thing, steamed bok choy, a fish covered with an odd sauce, and a pasta dish that I didn’t even bother trying. The sauce on the fish was decent, but the fish itself was so dry and overcooked that it was like chewing on wood. The so-called bibimbap appeared to be uncle Ben rice mixed with leftover meat and vegetables. The menu felt like a random assortment of dishes that didn’t complement one another, and none of them were executed particularly well.
Everything sat in warming trays and certainly tasted like it had been there for quite some time. The desserts were fine, but nothing special. They tasted like standard desserts supplied to many restaurants and weren’t memorable in any way.
Service was equally disappointing. Our waitress brought over a jug of Coke for us to refill ourselves, and after that we barely saw her again. Nobody checked on our table during the meal to see if we needed anything.
What made it even harder to justify was the price. At nearly $50 a person, including for my 13-year-old who took a few bites and gave up, the value simply wasn’t there. I’ve honestly had complimentary hotel breakfasts with better quality and selection.
If you’re coming for the races, the view and atmosphere are great. But if you’re coming for the buffet, save your money and eat elsewhere. For the price being charged, the quality and variety were shockingly poor, and I certainly won’t be returning.
This place certainly worth zero stars.
Lots of people. Horse races. Nice place
I have been 3x now, only because it’s the only racetrack.
The food and drinks cost too much, and the lounge seems completely disorganized. What makes sense in most casinos is have cheap food so that people spend money gambling.
No card tables. I don’t like slot machines but that’s just me.
Your customer service is not good. In lounge area first the hostess was rude to our group. Everyone working was just running around in chaos, it took forever to get drinks and food, and stuff was missing from our plates when it did finally arrive. We felt bad telling the server because she didn’t get back to the table for a while and looked about ready to burst into tears, so we went without.
Meanwhile the 2 managers just stood by the bar while their staff was clearly struggling and things were chaotic. Customers can see that you know. Why not walk around and speak to the customers who pay your salary?
I have a member card that gets 10% off the overpriced food and the server said I’m sorry I need to get a manager to do the discount, so it’ll be a few minutes. (By this time the 2 of them must have gone to stand around someplace else).
15 minutes later we finally got the bill, server apologized for the wait and then we wanted to pay separately, a manager apparently needed to be tracked down again to split the bill (which to me is ridiculous) so I said that’s ok I’ll just pay the whole bill. The server at this point was visibly shaking from stress, with no end to the chaos in sight.
Unbelievably disorganized, and shocking because I bet there was 15 people working between the lounge, the bar, and the restaurant. Why can nothing get done? My guess? Management.
Perhaps some management training or a revamp would be beneficial at your establishment, as it has major potential being at the airport and the only horse race track in the area.
Take out Order383,
June 14,26. 8:05 pm. Attention, evening resturant/ kitchen manager. This is a rant about the change in the wings served in the main floor resturant. Not sure if it's called the derby? They used to have the best wings! They have changed supplier or something has changed. Now they have bigger drums and smaller wings, so the wings are over cooked, dried out and the drums I have had twice are under cooked. The first time I brought this to their attention, they apologized, re-did the order, and discounted the price. I accepted that, but took the replacement order home as everyone else was done eating.
Tonight, I ordered a take-out order of wings. Well, very disappointed, as they are the same problem, small wings over cooked, dry, drums are bigger not even in cooking! Called to speak to restaurant/ kitchen manager. No answer. I was just there 20 minutes before. Even if it closed at 9pm. Someone has to be in kitchen, somewhere. Left message, hope he calls me back! This has been a excuse of new supplier. If this is true. Find another. Wings were so good before they changed ! Can't anything stay the same quality anymore!

Unfortunately this track does not compare to Northlands race track. Have been to Century a few times and just not the same standards that Northlands had in place. Disappointed.
Very bad behavior from who seems to be in charge lies will not be back
There must be a horseshoe under that place. So much fun and winning vibes !
Great atmosphere and amazing staff !!
Friendly staff and great food...
