APNA DHABA INDIAN KITCHEN Reviews
We order 2 items every week, malai kofta and goat curry. We noticed that more than a month ago the taste of the food has gone down hill out of nowhere, we gave it a few weeks to see if the quality will go back to how it was and it didn’t. We would still order every week but different dishes, still not as good. Sadly we will no longer be customers of this restaurant.
There were also instances that they would forget to pack our extra orders.

Apna Dhaba Indian Kitchen is a culinary delight that serves authentic Punjabi cuisine in Edmonton. This family-like restaurant offers a warm welcome and flavorful dishes that are a symphony of spices and textures. From the buttery richness of chicken tikka masala to the perfectly charred tandoori meats, every bite is a journey through the heart of India. With generous portions, plenty of vegetarian options, and freshly baked naan bread, this restaurant sets the bar high for Indian dining experiences.
Recent reviews highlight that the food is absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of flavor, with favorites including vegetarian samosas, garlic naan, Chat Papdi, and chole bhature. Customers often enjoy main dishes like butter chicken or vindaloo served with rice. The staff is noted to be friendly, and the service is fast and welcoming, though there are frequent delays in pick-up times, sometimes requiring at least 20 minutes extra. The restaurant is always clean, but seating is limited and not very comfortable, making it more suitable for takeout. Some customers noted that cilantro is often added even when requested "no cilantro," and spice levels can vary depending on the cook, with some dishes being too spicy at times. The naan bread is highly appreciated, and many look forward to trying the sweets in the future.
While the overall experience is positive, some customers give a 3-star rating due to the consistent delays and billing errors, which can be frustrating despite the good food. Butter chicken offers decent portions and value for the price, though it may not meet everyone's expectations for spiciness or authenticity. Apna Dhaba is a great spot worth supporting, and many customers express their intention to visit again.
