All I have to say is that the restaurant has a charming ambiance. The service was exceptional, with the waiters and waitresses being particularly attentive. However, the food was a different story altogether. I believe it is overpriced for the quality and quantity served. The chicken nuggets with caviar, for instance, were underwhelming, and I would argue that McDonald's chicken nuggets are superior. If a restaurant is going to charge a premium for caviar-topped chicken nuggets, they should ensure that the dish is adequately garnished and not simply sprinkled with a few pieces of caviar. Furthermore, the nuggets tasted as though they had been microwaved. I was not impressed with the food. On the other hand, the drinks were excellent. Given the subpar food quality and exorbitant prices, I have doubts about the restaurant's long-term viability. Additionally, the tables are excessively small, making it difficult to accommodate parties of four or more. the sad part is that we all had to walk over for pizza.

It is absolutely stunning inside!!!! It is on the pricer end but everything we ate and drank was delightful. The menu, is meant to be sharing plates. I would also recommend making a reservation, they do take walk-ins. But it is a much smaller place. So I'd rather be safe than sorry.

The cocktails were thoughtfully crafted, you can really tell the bartenders take pride in what they do. The food was also a pleasant surprise, creative, fresh, and perfect for sharing.
What really stood out was the service. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel effortless and enjoyable.
Bar Trove has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and elevated experience without the pretension.

The space is so thoughtfully designed, warm, inviting, and effortlessly chic. Every detail feels intentional, from the perfectly curated wine list to the small plates that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Feels like stepping into a little piece of Europe tucked away in the heart of Edmonton!

Maybe the cocktails are good, but the lobster linguini was a massive disappointment. The sauce was underwhelming, and both the lobster and pasta were overcooked, giving the linguini a mealy feel and the lobster slightly rubbery. Not at all what you would expect for a $48 price point. Service was good, and the waitress was very friendly but again for the price point you would expect certain service standards to be upheld (not clearing plates one at a time, but once all guests have finished eating to avoid your guests feeling rushed, for example). They're a new place so hopefully these things are just growing pains, as the potential is there and the interior concept is gorgeous.

We made a reservation for 8PM thinking it wouldn't be that busy but we were there for around 1.5 hours and ultimately went elsewhere for food as we felt ignored. Took ~30 mins to get a beer to the table and the server didn't ask if she could refill anything else or get a food order when she dropped it off.
Super cute decor and we wanted to love it but it didn't wow us.

We tried both of their non-alcoholic cocktails, which blew us away. I didn't know an alcohol-free negroni could actually be good!
Portions were great, the banana custard was a larger serving than we were expecting. Highly recommend the broccolini with corn custard, I'd say that was our favorite of the evening. Great char on the broccolini, and the custard itself was immensely flavorful and creamy, with a fresh corny flavor to it.
A very solid team behind the bar and kitchen clearly put a lot of work into making this place the best it can be. Would highly recommend.

I visited Bar Trove on July 10th for lunch with a friend and my brother. We opted for the patio since the weather was nice. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic. All of our dishes were great but the ricotta toasts and chicken tenders w/ caviar really stood out. The French fries are also a must order. The only thing better than our food was the service. Our server was so friendly and attentive - she really made our experience great. I look forward to visiting again when I’m back in Edmonton next!
