I've lived in Edmonton for 20 years and somehow never tried this place, but it's easily my go to place for breakfast after today. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and the amount of salmon alone made it worth the cost. If I spent that amount for a package at Costco, I would've got less than I got today on my eggs benedict and breakfast potatoes. The atmosphere was fantastic as well, with really friendly staff and lots of clearly satisfied and happy patrons around. 14/10, will be back.
Good food great staff.
Cute little place

Barb and Ernie’s Old Country Inn continues to live up to its long-standing reputation for serving exceptional food and generous portions at an excellent value. The restaurant’s charming heritage atmosphere creates a welcoming dining experience, complemented by truly outstanding service. For a standout addition to your meal, be sure to try their homemade curry ketchup on the hash browns—it is an absolute home run.

Awesome breakfast food, and you can have a beer with it. What else could someone want?
Decent solid breakfast , the hotcakes are huge. Like the size of a dinner plate.
They’ve been around a long time. Servers were very good. Coffee refills were plenty
The food is nothing spectacular. But really all you need for breakfast
Best little spot ever. Breakfast brunch or lunch! Love the food, quality is superior compared to all the over priced boutique places. The vibe is cozy and homey. I would personally protest if this place ever had to close. Also the chocolate lasagna is 11/10.

I've been coming to Barb & Ernie's for over 20 years, and it continues to be one of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service always makes you feel right at home.
My go-to order is the Belgian waffle and the Eggs Benedict. Both are absolutely amazing. I also love their housemade ketchup and mustard, which add such a unique touch and really set them apart.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and a true Edmonton classic!

Had the regular breakfast, bacon was just right with a bit of chew. Wife had the Belgian waffle which was also very good. Overall a good breakfast, the homemade sauces are also very good.

Has all the warm vibes of a 50 year old eatery. Service was quick and efficient. Orders came quickly. The food was tasty but not extraordinary or out of the world.
Overall all good experience. Would visit again !
