A small family restaurant nearby the old colosseum. Me and my friend got the “Classico” and it was the best calzone I’ve had in a while. The staff are friendly and the $15 price for a large flaky calzone is a GREAT deal.

Great calzones, fresh ingredients.
Was looking for a Calzone after finding out Sbarro is no longer around and just stumbled across Battista's. Was not disappointed, Amazing food, and amazing atmosphere, they made it a very personal experience by coming and talking to my family while we waited for our order. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I ordered a Spicy Italian calzone and it was hands down the best calzone I have ever eaten.
The fresh dough and fillings were cooked to perfection. 10/10 would recommend - you will not be dissapointed.
Delicious calzones. Staff were incredibly friendly and outgoing. It is a smaller establishment so takeout is best!
Delicious freshly baked.
No “tap” e-transfer only cash.
Excellent tasty ingredients. I didn't like the soft light flat bread. I expected a calzone with pizza dough. Not authentic as I know. I was disappointed with the flat bread
If you're looking for the best calzone of your life, look no further than Battista’s Calzone. Hands down, the best calzone I've ever had! Every bite is packed with flavor, and you can truly taste the love and care Battista puts into each creation. The dough is perfectly crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy inside, with the perfect balance of fillings. And the dessert calzone? Absolute heaven. It's the kind of treat that makes you want to savor every bite—and then order another one. If you're a fan of calzones, you owe it to yourself to experience this masterpiece. You won’t regret it!
I brought the wife. Shes shaped like a calzone with legs. So i figured she would enjoy it.

Made fresh right on the spot! I've had a couple of the calzone's here now including the truffle, spicy Italian and even the Nutella/dessert calzone. I like the dough and herb blend they use quite a bit, ingredients inside are pretty good as well ( I believe sourced at the Italian market).
One thing I really appreciate is how down to earth Batista is. Every time I'm inside waiting, he'll make small talk with you and answer any questions you might have about the store and it's history.
