Boardwalk Burgers

I am so disappointed! I ordered 2 chilli fries and paid for extra chilli for both. What arrived in my uber order was a 'handful of fries with speckles of beef and beans'. Generally, if you order chilli and fries there should be a generous serving of chilli atop a decent portion of fries!

Overall great food and customer service. The burger was fresh, the fries as well. The price point is also good. A meal with a burger, fries and a drink for $17!! Not bad especially in this economy.

What was supposed to be a simple, happy family meal turned into an exhausting and deeply upsetting experience.

I placed an online order with Broadwalk Burgers because my daughter wanted a milkshake, and the restaurant appeared to offer halal burgers and drinks. I ordered from the Calgary Trail location and spent $104, receiving a text message saying my order was being prepared.

When I called the store to confirm, I was told they had no record of my order at all. Instead of help, I was met with suspicion. The woman on the phone questioned whether I was even a legitimate customer, saying I might be a scammer. In that moment, I felt embarrassed, and accused—despite having proof that I placed the order.

Shortly after, a manager called and said there had been a problem but that I could come pick up the order. Then another worker called and told me to place the order again verbally, assuring me it would be free since they had not recived any payment. By this point, I was already overwhelmed and anxious. I had placed a large order and, under pressure, forgot several smaller details-whipped cream on a shake, extra sauces, and a larger item -wings.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I saw an in-store bill totaling $75, which confused me further. The manager—who was not physically present—told me over the phone that I had received all my items and that prices vary between online and in-store orders. He also repeated that the order was “on him,” since they claimed no payment had been received.

Throughout the interaction, the staff made me feel like a burden—as if I were asking for charity rather than receiving food I had paid for. Their tone suggested they were doing me a favor, not correcting their own system failure.

When I got home, I discovered a Coke can and one medium fries missing from one of the combo meals. The food was cold. Items incomplete. What should have been a comforting family dinner ended in chaos, confusion, and humiliation.

The most disturbing part is that their website is still live when writing this review and accepting payments, despite not properly recording orders. This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s irresponsible.

This experience was genuinely stressful and upsetting. I will not be returning.

Milkshakes are nice and thick. Burgers are tasty but classic deluxe doesn't come with pickles. A burger place that doesn't include pickles??? The mushroom burger was really good. Fries are frozen, not fresh. No vinegar for the fries either. Again, a burger place in Canada that doesn't have vinegar???? Overall just ok.

Hot dogs were cooked like they were on a gas station roller for 5 minutes, and barely touched a pan for 30 seconds.
Burger was dissapointing, dry and nowhere near what was displayed.
Chilly cheese fries didnt have a single shred of cheese, just as if a small scoup of canned beans were slapped on top.
Food averaged at 20 a meal and i wouldnt pay half that for the quality i got. Any food bought from a local grocery store would have been cheaper and much higher quality. Dont waste your time or money on this place.
