Cactus Club Cafe West Edmonton Mall

Im so disappointed with my overall experience here. I booked a 2 person table last night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. At first, we were happy with how the receptionist welcomed us and lead us to our seats. But then the server started screwing everything up plus she looks so intimidating that felt like we were just bothering her. We ordered fries for starters but she forgot to give it to us. I was gonna let that slide until i saw the receipt where she still charged us for it. We were also expecting a little treat for my girlfriend’s birthday because i saw some reviews that they do that on birthday occasions. We were so sad that we didn’t get anything, well we brought our own little cake but they didn’t even offer to give us plates and utensils so we just ate it at home. After asking for our bill, the server took so long to get it so we just bundled up and were about to go to the reception to pay, thats when the server saw us and went to get our bill immediately. What’s funny is she was acting nice when she handed out the debit machine. Lesson learned, don’t go to this place if you’re looking for a romantic date with your love ones.

I came out for a girls night with some friends and our server, Natalia was wonderful!!! She was so kind and was super helpful all night. We will definitely come back to see her.

I went for my 10th year anniversary and we were blown away with the food and the atmosphere was amazing. We took the patio and loved the experience. The chicken tender for the kids were juicy. The steak was delicious. The complimentary crème brûlée was thoughtful.

you can never go wrong with cactus! my friend and i had a great experience at cactus and our server callie took great care of us! we had the pull apart brioche to start and it was soft and warm! i got the blacken creole chicken and the amount was perfect! nice quick of spice while my friend got rigatoni bolognese! always great at cactus

I and my bf went here for out date night, we got seated fast and our server was friendly. we got the truffle fries as an appy and it was really good, my bf got the steak frites and i got the blackened creole chicken. Steak was good and so does the chicken, really savoury. the ambiance was great.

Had an amazing night here! Service was excellent, especially Selin at the front desk. She was so friendly and funny to talk too! Decided to purchase a few hundred dollars of gift cards to give to mine friends and family so they could experience an amazing night here too!!

December 4/25. We had our company xmas party, everything was great and the service and food were excellent! Thank you to the amazing servers and Ron for taking good care of us. The gift card for the owner with allergies was a great touch!

Went here to celebrate my daughter’s 6th Birthday. Food was amazing the spinach dip is insane. The wings are top notch. They gave us free dessert for the occasion and we left full and eager to return as soon as possible!!! Thanks guys!!!

I've been here with my family since our kids were young. I remember waiting because this restaurant is almost always buy. They used to have some Etcha Sketch for our kids to play with while waiting for an open table.
Their food is phenomenal and of generous portions.

It's a family restaurant a little upper scale than say Earls. The Owner/ Executive Chef Rob Feeny has assembled a great modern, inviting atmosphere lending to an enjoyable fairly quiet so that you can have a conversation with your guests without screaming lol.

There are so many tantalizing appetizers such as sweet potato French fries with a truffle dipping sauce, a must everytime we go.
Make sure to order a basket to share, you won't regret it.

There are so many tasty entrées to choose from.
I almost always go back to the Feeny burger with a side of truffle fries,but there are a lot of options for sides and the Tuna Poke Bowls are delicious as well.

Allin all, the service, the hospitality, the atmosphere and the food 👌 A definite 5 out of 5☆☆☆☆☆

I visited Cactus Club Cafe recently and had the pleasure of being served by Maggie (sorry if I’m spelling it wrong!). From the moment we were seated until the time we paid the bill, she was absolutely incredible.

She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive the entire time. She checked on us at the perfect moments, made great recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. Her positive attitude and friendly personality really stood out and made our whole dining experience feel special.

It’s rare to come across someone who consistently provides such thoughtful and professional service. Because of her, we’ll definitely be coming back. Cactus Club Cafe is lucky to have someone like Maggie on their team!

I’m really disappointed by my recent experience at this location. My boyfriend and I came in around 10pm this past Friday. We absolutely love Cactus Club (the downtown location) and even after a few rough visits here, we decided to give this location another chance.

When we walked in, we weren’t greeted by a single one of the five hostesses standing at the front. I’m not sure why there needs to be a group of five people at the door if none of them are acknowledging guests coming in. When we approached the stand to put our name down, the hostess who helped us seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else. Her attitude showed in the way she spoke to us—immediately telling us they were “completely full” with no offer to take our name. Her tone was so condescending and felt like she didn’t think we should be there.. though we’re patrons giving money to the business?

We asked to put our name down and how long the wait would be. She said at least 45 minutes and told us we could sit at the bar, but only if we “beat the other people waiting” because the bar takes whoever sits first. So now we’re supposed to compete with other guests for a table? That alone felt really off.

To make things worse, the blonde hostess kept giving my boyfriend and me dirty, condescending looks the entire time. It genuinely felt like we were back in high school trying to sit with the mean girls, and they were doing everything they could to make us feel uncomfortable. And it worked—we walked out upset and disappointed.

The sad part is, we were totally fine with waiting. What made us leave wasn’t the wait time—it was the attitude and lack of basic hospitality from the front door staff, whose entire job is to be warm and welcoming. I know this because I’ve worked as a hostess myself.

We drove straight to the downtown location afterward and, as always, had a great experience. I don’t understand how two locations within 15 minutes of each other can feel so dramatically different based on atmosphere alone.

I really wish this visit could’ve gone differently, but after this experience, we’ll continue going to the downtown location instead.
