Castella Cheesecake Kiosk (West Edmonton Mall East Side)

I've enjoyed their cheese tarts for years from Vancouver and since they opened in WEM, but It seems like they've changed the cheese tarts so the pastry is much thicker on the bottom now. The cheese filling is probably just over half of how much there used to be. Such a disappointing change... will give it another chance in a month or two but if it stays like this I probably won't be getting any more tarts from them.

Me and my friend got blueberry ice cream, and it was really good, but we didn't feel the lemon sauce that there was supposed to be. We came up to the counter again, and without further questions, the lady made us two new ice creams with more lemon sauce. She was really nice. Thank you for that, Castella.

I was pretty irritated when there was another customer beside me coughing with his mouth open near the lady who was preparing my ice cream. As much as I really wanted to ask if they could make me a new one. I was hesitant asking bc from the hard work she did.

The cheese cake is too crumbly. May as well buy the cake from T&T or even Safeway for better texture and same taste.

The cheese tarts and ice creams are really good, staff here are very nice and friendly, definitely recommend.

Cheesecake was stale, dry and crumbly. It seemed to have been sitting there for quite some time. Wouldn’t get it again.

Very Expensive ! I took a Croissant less than a normal ones. it was little bit dry and the filling chocolate wasn’t that good, I expected something better for $5

I was having a great day up until I decided to pay 20$ for a cheesecake that is really a sponge cake with maybe a hint of cheesecake flavor. What a scam. Never give ur business to the chinese people. SCAM

So, I bought cheese tarts at west edmonton location near hudsons bay and i had a fantastic experience with a vary nice lady named Hazel she is very knowledgeable about the product, very friendly and she knows exactly what customer service is. I will definitely come back and would recommend castella to friends and family!!

So ive been a customer for almost a year , i straight up ho and pick pastries up at least twice a month . Today i went and the customer service was extremely horrible. I went to get the cheesecake filled croissants and I ordered 9 , the lady was like theres only 5 , i asked if they can make me another 4 and i said i can wait she didn’t even ask if i can wait or not but rudely said okay we will make some for you just wait on the side then the lady was we put them in paper bags , i told her and i always come and everyone is been putting them in boxes for me how am i going to take it To someone’s house in a paper bag . She made a big deal and starting calling the manager i showed her pictures of the previous times i purchased the pastries they were in boxes . I waited for the croissants to be done and i was about to leave she said that next time they will charge me 0.50 cents for the box i said its not about the 0.50 cents it’s the concept and the principal and the good customer service I’m not cheeping on0.50 cents when i just spent over 50$ for the croissants. Sorry I’m not gonna be spending money on something even if it was good when I’m being mistreated by the employees.
