Some of the worst pasta I have ever had. Service was also very slow with only 3 tables full in the restaurant. I would not recommend.

Thanks Chianti for making our last minute take out order so quickly when our day ran late so we would not be late for the ballet! You guys rock!

Walking past this restaurant is like walking through a wall of hot tuna air. The smell travels the entire block and kindly announces its presence to everyone whether they asked or not. It perfumes the entire street like a fish candle no one asked for. Might be worth investing in a door… or a fan… or an exorcism.
Parking is oddly strict, which is fair, because I wouldn’t want to leave my car here unless I wanted it to smell like seafood chowder for the rest of the week.
Five stars for confidence, zero for ventilation.

Went here for a first date, made him sit next to me. The food was so delicious, I needed to sit on a toilet… guess what? I sat on his lap instead!
Chianti on Whyte Ave was an excellent dining experience. We ordered the lasagna and soup, and they started us off with fresh bread and butter while we looked through the menu. It was a simple touch but really set the tone for the meal.
The lasagna was outstanding and tasted very authentic. I have had lasagna in Italy before and this honestly reminded me of that. The quality of the food was impressive and everything felt fresh and well prepared.
We sat on the patio near the end of summer and the atmosphere was perfect. There was a cool breeze, lots of natural light, and the patio itself is beautiful. The inside of the restaurant is just as nice with plenty of plants and a warm, inviting feel. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices felt fair for the quality. Overall, a great spot for Italian food on Whyte Ave.

Always excellent food, tons of depth to the menu. Terrific staff locating and atmosphere. Note, WAY better in person than via Uber eats.

I love the ambiance and very relaxing place to dine in. The food was good and affordable. But our server Anabella was so really nice and very accommodating at all.

Great selection of Italian food. Has some traditional Canadian favorites, but the choices of alternative choices do stimulate the taste buds along with the selection of beverages
I went here and they gave a foodborne illness!
Ate here on Sunday with some friends/family. The server was great!
Ordered the Penne Alla Gigi, it was mediocre at best! I became very ill later in the evening, lasting for several days. I couldn't even drink water or basically leave the bathroom for two whole days.
So I would never recommend eating here. It's one thing to sell mediocre food. It's another to charge a premium when you can't even maintain basic food safety.
