“Excellent coffee shop. I can see why some people say it's their favorite coffee place in the city. Their drip coffee and latte are great. The chai is okay. The service is excellent! The worker at the counter (didn't catch her name) went above and beyond to share briefly about the history of the shop, and since I was there on my birthday, said the drink was on them! Really surprised me and made my day. Thank you! We'll be back for sure.“

“I love coming to this cafe. Whether I decide to have food from their kitchen, a ready to go pastry, or a drink, I know that it's going to be made with care. It gets a little busy around lunch, I wish it was bigger, but it's a wonderful space. The staff are amazing, and it's fun to chat with them when they're less busy. They're very kind and all very good at their jobs. Definitely one of my favourites in the city for sure!“

“One of my favorite coffee shops in Edmonton. This locations proximity to the Mill Creek ravine is perfect for enjoying a leisurely river valley stroll along with a hot beverage.
In my experience, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The cafe is often very busy so seating may be limited if visiting during a peak period.
I haven't tried the food here, but the baked treats always look delicious!“

“A friend and I went to Candid Coffee Roasters this morning and were so glad we did. I am a latte lover and had the best latte ever! Also a couple of stroopwafels. So yummy. (Be sure to have them lightly grilled.) Going back tomorrow with hubby.“

“The one and only complaint I have is that they sell decaf. Bonnie saved my life today. I switched our subscription temporarily as we were going through more than usual, and when I switched back I somehow chose decaf. Decaf!?! It just isn't sustainable make-go juice. I emailed right away to see if we could exchange it after it arrived, but Bonnie managed to switch it out for me just in the much of time before Canada Post got there. Life. Saver. Ever since we've started using Transcend beans, other coffees just don't taste the same. It's definitely the favorite in this home. I haven't had a roast I don't like yet!“

“I just bought an espresso machine and am definitely a novice when it comes to coffee as I’m more of a tea person - however my husband loves coffee and I really wanted to make him the best coffees. I came to NXT after trying grocery store beans (yikes) and from the smile on my husband’s face after taking a sip, NXT definitely has the best coffee beans!
The lady who helped me was really kind and showed me where they roasted the beans and allowed me to smell the different types (I purchased a bag of Honduras beans). The owner offered some good advice on how to pull the shot and clearly knows his stuff. I’ll definitely be back. This is a gem of a small business that has honed their craft to the T.“
