Very tasty, well served, will return

This is not the Dawaat of old. Remarkably inattentive and aloof service. Food cooked without salt and with clearly bland and stale ingredients. The chicken biryani was the worst of I’ve ever tasted; days old tandoori drumsticks mixed with a bunch of mushy over oiled basmati rice. Even the mixed pickles were somehow bland. I didn’t even know that was possible. No amount of salt added table side could revive the palaak paneer. Microwaved chai milk tea that developed a new film every couple minutes no matter how many times you stirred it, it must have been microwaved far too hot. This is not a buffet so I assumed I would be ordering food made when it’s ordered, but, ironically, any buffet has fresher dishes than this. I do not write negative reviews often but this is profoundly bad.

Grear feel. Really good food. Cost was reasonable. Dry ribs where meaty and seasoned perfectly.

Should have read Google Reviews before DoorDash delivery. Long wait time for delivery and I contracted food poisoning.

Dropped by serendipitously for a Grey Cup drink or two but given the volume of traffic (basically all Uber Eats for the two hours I was there), I expect this establishment to close within six months (but likely sooner given the fate of other Indian owned or Indian themed dining establishments in the core).

Gave me food poisoning. Ordered on uber, the app messed up scheduling and set it to immediatly. I called Daawat to cancel. Told them if the food was delivered too soon it would be sitting for a few hours before I could eat it (which is dangerous). Guy told me to just microwave it. That it was already prepared. It took an hour to deliver.

I had nothing else to eat when lunch came.

Alternatively they could have said 'Hey, although the meal is prepared mistakes happen and we'll deliver later.' then threw out the tandori chicken. That would've been safe.

Oh my god the service was TERRIBLE. We went in because it seemed chill and we thought we’d give a small business a chance but were throughly disappointed. We walked in and sat ourselves and it took about 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged.there was only one other table with people. It took them 15 minutes to bring us our Mocktails. We had to get their attention multiple times to ask for our cheque because they kept forgetting. It was just sucky. The employee didn’t seem like they knew anything about restaurant service. .

Worst place, we ordered mix platter of pakoras and momo, so fish pakora was good overall. But if i talk about rest of the food pakora and momos, the worst taste i had never tasted food like this. So oily and bad in taste. Need to work on it.

Ordered karai paneer. Was very wierd. It was very sweet with no spices at all. Came here around last year. It was great experience but this was not upto expectations.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get. Great taste, generous portions, and excellent value for money. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.Best Restaurant in Edmonton 🫶

Worst butter chicken ever I had in my entire life. They added few masala to tin can tomato sauce and boiled chicken. It’s not worth of the price at all. I was craving for some good Indian food after waiting for weeks, but ended up with this absurd taste. And they labeled it as an authentic Indian food, which is not. Usually I don’t write reviews, but this amount of disappointment made me to.
