About Moonga Nori

Moonga Nori is a restaurant that offers delicious and fresh Japanese cuisine. The tuna sashimi and wagyu hand roll are highly recommended, with the tuna being particularly praised for its surprising quality and freshness. The service is attentive, although some guests noted that on busy days, there might be limited staff, causing delays in seating and ordering. Guests enjoy watching the chefs at work behind the counter, which adds to the experience. The salmon sashimi is also mentioned as a notable option, and the $1 salmon nigiri special on Wednesdays has received positive feedback for its great taste, though some batches had issues with undercooked rice and tough salmon. The restaurant provides a lively and welcoming atmosphere that reminds guests of Japan, with staff greeting customers warmly and offering authentic touches like freshly grated wasabi. The tuna sampler, King Salmon sashimi, Chawanmushi, and Wagyu hand roll all impress with their presentation and taste. Some diners have enjoyed the premium pieces like Otoro, noting the quality of the food despite it being a bit expensive. Overall, Moonga Nori is a great choice for those seeking authentic, fresh, and beautifully presented Japanese dishes in a casual and fun environment.

Went for $1 nigiri night again and it was as good as always. Got different types of nigiri this time, instead of just salmon. I would still say that the salmon is the best one, but everything is still high quality and good

Came as overspill from across the street. Sushi and tataki were fantastic. Enjoyed a flight of sake. Food was a step above across the street, ambience not as unique, but elegant.

food and service were both good.
I will go back again.
