Dirtbag Cafe Reviews
Stopped in for a quick coffee before wandering around downtown on Sunday morning and ended up staying almost an hour, the vibe was too good to rush. Got the maple oat latte and a pistachio croissant and both were fresh, still warm when they handed it over. The staff remembered my order the second time I came up to ask about wifi, which felt like a nice small town touch for a city cafe. Fun place for rock climbing
Fun place for rock climbing
Dirtbag Cafe, tucked inside the climbing gym near MacEwan, is one of those Edmonton rooms that just works. I came for a matcha and a peanut butter cookie, stayed on a sunny couch, and watched climbers wander over for coffee after a session. They brew local Roasti beans and keep craft beer on if you want something later. Inclusive, a little loud in a good way, and very much its own place.

Dirtbag Cafe is a unique spot that combines a rock climbing gym with a cafe. The atmosphere is chill and amazing, making it a great place to grab a coffee and get some work done. The staff are friendly, cheerful, and greet everyone nicely, contributing to a very inclusive vibe. The cafe offers a variety of options, including gluten-free cookies and dairy-free milk alternatives like coconut, oat, and soy milk. The pour over coffee is good, and the matcha latte is a popular choice. Customers appreciate the option to customize their drinks without added sweeteners. While the cafe can get chaotic due to the shared space with the rock gym, many find it a great place to relax on comfy couches after climbing, enjoying delicious brownies and drinks. The menu may be limited, but the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, with a mix of paid and free options available within walking distance. Overall, Dirtbag Cafe is a great spot for students and coffee lovers alike, with its relaxed vibe, accommodating menu, and many tables in the sun for uninterrupted work.
