Flava Cafe is a hidden gem! I stopped by for a taste of authentic Jamaican flavors, and they did not disappoint for the price. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and seasoned just right—definitely some of the best I’ve had. The curry goat was tender and full of rich, deep flavor, just like you’d hope for in a real Jamaican curry. And the jerk chicken mac and cheese!!!!! Such a unique twist with the smoky spice of jerk seasoning and creamy mac, it’s comfort food at its finest. The portions are generous, and the service is friendly and warm, adding to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Is flava cafe the most authentic Jamaican food in Edmonton? Maybe.
What I do know, is that we were greeted, treated, and seated warmly. Swiftly after we finished our jerk plate with lots of rice & beans, about a 1/4 chicken, and plantain, we were picking away at the last morsels of chicken off the bone. Really good!

I wish there was an option for a higher spice level, but that's extremely nit picky.
I can't wait to get back for a quick and affordable plate.

I loved the food and the guy was such a nice person. We went in on October 23 and tried jerk chicken combo with Rice and peas. We also tried coleslaw and festival and the best fresh Jamaican patties. Go to this place if you want good Jamaican food..10/10

Five stars for the jerk seasoning alone! It's fiery and I'm obsessed. I use it to marinade pork tenderloin and grill it for the best jerk pork ever. Their actual jerk chicken and pork are good too and it's a very affordable eatery, but that seasoning is magic 🔥

Food was just OK. Jerk chicken did not taste fresh, and rice lacked flavor. Might try something else "if" I come back...

At first, I had gone there to get a Jamaican patty, but unfortunately, they did not have any. I had decided to go with the Jerk Chicken meal, which is in special for $10.. Coleslaw is amazing! I enjoyed the rice and peas. The festival was made fresh, and I found the chicken a bit dry, and it was extremely hot in the building. Otherwise, the good was exceptional ?

Hubby ordered oxtail. Came with rice, beans and some deep fried bread (reminded me of corn bread).

Flavourful and delicious. Decent portions for $20.
