Found gen-x by recommendation. We are huge fans of jamaican food & wanted to try a new spot for a catering service. We were not disappointed. The food was phenomenal. All 15 of my guests were in heaven. Everything was a 10/10. The Stew beef was my favourite along with the pasta salad. Delicious. The spice level was perfect. Presentation was nice. Val was professional & very sweet!
We will be ordering again & stopping by the shop for a plate soon!

Gen-X Jamaican Patty Bakery and Catering is a well-recommended spot known for its authentic and amazing patties. The patties and coco bread are fresh out of the oven with that nice bakery taste. They offer lots of choices, including jerk chicken, stew chicken, beef, chicken curry, cheesy beef, and a standout oxtail patty. The patties are described as filled up, flaky, stuffed to the max, and having a buttery, flakey pastry with a warm kick that is not overwhelming. The fillings are perfect and flavourful.
The Jerk Chicken wrap is also highlighted, with its rice and coleslaw adding spice and complementing the super flavourful chicken. The place has a very inviting and nice vibe, with warm and friendly service. Customers report being very impressed and filled up, intending to go back to try more, including the oxtail meal, and to use the bakery for catering events. It is considered some of the best patties had in a long time and a great new Edmonton flavour.
