Gyu-Kaku is the perfect place if you love grilling your own meats right at the table. We went with the All You Can Eat option, and the portion sizes were just right — enough to try a variety without feeling overwhelmed.
The service was excellent and the staff were super friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and it’s always fun to watch your food sizzle on the grill.
If you’re looking for a great dining experience that’s interactive, satisfying, and delicious, this is it. Highly recommend!
Very Gluten free friendly. Incredible food, interactive experience and attentive staff. So happy we stumbled upon this place
Food was amazing service was amazing
Count me in with grill-it-yourself restaurants. Glad I checked this out. Very affordable!
I particularly liked the seasoning and marinating for the beef and chicken.
Maybe they could increase the rice bowl portion but that's just me.
The ambience was good. Not as hot I thought I would be so that was really nice.
First time I’ve been during the day. Service was slow and just kept forgetting things like our drinks and forks. Our pitcher had about 3” of foam and less than 3 beers which made it cost more than buying pints. The ramen was underwhelming compared the rest of the food. They charged us a mandatory %18 gratuity on a table of 6.
Excellent food and service. We got the Chef’s Choice for 2 and some drinks. The Lychee Mojito was excellent!
The matcha tiramisu was tasty but a little weird. If you like matcha and tiramisu you’ll like it. If you don’t like matcha, it won’t be for you.
The Guy-Kaku salad was super tasty! I need to figure out how to recreate it for work lunches!
The kimchi was perfect for my pallet. Not so spicy it burnt my face off but spicy enough that it was enjoyable and full of flavour!
We failed at monitoring the fondue close enough and the oil separated but we were too full for broccoli by that point anyway.
Over all. Would go back again but with more people to try more things!
i came here the other day and everything was great! food is amazing and server (island) was the best as well. overall 10/10
Mark was a great server! This review is long overdue but my family and I love Gyukaku for their lunch specials! It fills us up with good amount for meat, rice, and salads. The gyukaku salad is also our fave! Sweet soy sauce + spicy sauce is a must try. Would def keep coming back to satisfy our jbbq cravings!
Food was great! Super great dinner w/ mom and sister! Would definitely come again!
Gyu-Kaku is always a good idea! It was our first time trying out their AYCE instead of the set menu and it was surprisingly good. Was able to try all of their meat options and honestly loved it! Can’t wait to go back :)

Always my go-to-bbq restaurant, love their side dishes and their marinated meat. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always warm and friendly. The only downside is parking, parking in downtown is always a pain to find.
