The food was ok, but a little pricey. The decor was nice. However, the service was not good. I even emailed them, but did not get a response back. The waitress only came to our table once, was pretty dead pan, and we had to ask her to come over so we can pay the bill. We were the only diner at 6pm on a wednesday night. And the one other customer who came into the restaurant, waited 45 seconds, the waitress didn't come and therefore she left.

Their Beef Sate is my favourite! Not as seafoody as some other versions and very hearty with excellent amount of spice.

Our best place for a healthy lunch.Best Vietnamese food. Love this place❤️
We have been frequenting Cecila and David's Hoang Long restaurants for over 20 years . There new location on Jasper Ave and 98 street is hip and chic and they still have the best Vietnamese food in Edmonton. Eat in or take out, they are the Best. Try the pork sausage spring rolls and their signature salad.
The food is flavorful and fresh. The atmosphere is modern aesthetic and clean. The best Thai Vietnamese fusion food in town! Stepped out of my box and tried some more items on the menu beyond my favourite Thai coconut chicken noodle soup and beef skewers. Had the curry chicken on vermicelli rice noodles wow, so good!
I ordered pho for the first time (in this place) and I was so excited as I came here for lunch. But at the first sip of the soup I though it tasted really odd, I then tried the beef meat that was very hard to chew and obviously over cooked. I wanted to atleast enjoy the soup and noodle but the soup was the most dissapointing of all. It tasted nothing like pho. I brought the whole thing infront still 98 % of the meal not eaten. Explained the situation, but they didnt even try to do anything about it. I left hungry, dissapointed, wasted time and money for a place that doesnt even care about the quality of their food or even ammend the situation. Im the type of person that will still enjoy average tasting food. Ive never left any food in my life untouch like this from any restaurant or fast food chain. Just my 2 cents. Never coming back.
Expect to wait 35-45 minutes for your meal. I was charged $2 for spring rolls and my husband $3 (same base price meal). It took forever; I ate my lunch from a take out container walking back to work and it wasn’t tasty. I’m sad because I was hoping this would be a close convenient Vietnamese place but they need a major revamping if they want to continue to stay in business. My meal was so spicy my nose was running and I did not order a spicy dish, I had indigestion for the rest of the day. Beef was tough which I’m seeing is a common issue from other reviews.I can’t recommend any of the restaurants on this strip.*YIKES* after seeing the restaurants rude response to my review I take back my 2 stars and give it a 1 star. Save your $35 and go to a restaurant that has better quality food and service.
Cecilia and David continue to provide some of the best casual food in Edmonton!Their passion for authentic Asian cuisine and the people they feed is evident in every mouthful. If you’re looking for an amazing dinner, I highly recommend this group of restaurants!
Too pricey for mediocre food. On Saturday (July 30), we ordered the Tofu and Shrimp salad rolls which were mosty vermicelli noodles, very plain. Wonton soup smelled odd with soggy vegetables. Stir fry was mostly cheap veggies (celery and onions) soaked in a bland sugary 'chili' sauce that had no spice. Very disappointing meal. The inside of the restaurant is big but was completely empty when we picked up our dinnertime order- now I know why.(Reposted with the date of our order since the owner responded that my review didn't apply to their food as they were closed on the day the review was posted. Obviously I didn't get take out from you on a day that you were closed. That goes without saying, usually.)

Great food but appallingly bad service over lunch when i have been there. Over 30 minutes waiting for a sandwich is ridiculous, with no acknowledgement or indication that it will take that long. The first time it happened i chalked it up to "reduced staff", but it has happened 3 times now and i am done spending my lunch hour waiting for them to decide my order is important enough to make in the order it was received. If you can take the APPALLINGLY BAD SERVICE, this place is ok. Personally will not be going there ever again.
Usually this place is awesome but I ordered from skip for the first time and everything just tasted old. The Bao buns were rock hard and inedible. Iced coffee was good though.
1 star. The lady cooking my food handled it with her hands after she took my money from the cash register. No gloves no washing. I watched her paw my noodles from one take out container to another and paw my spring rolls from one take out container to another. She also cut all my vermacilli noodles up like I was a child that was going to choke. Won't be back. I also paid with cash and she didn't have enough to give me the correct change so I was shorted money.
I only discovered this place a month ago and I’ve eaten here 7 times now. Delivery is so fast and I came inside for takeout today and this place is so big and nice inside. They Bhan Mi’s are HEAVENLY. I’m so addicted. Wonton soup is nice too.
Not sure what is happening at this restaurant but the quality continues to slip. Unfortunately the quality of our last order was so poor that I won’t be ordering again. The meat in every dish we ordered, including my usual beef lemongrass skewers (which until now had maintained their status as my “go to” fav beef satay in the city) , we’re also incredibly dry and chewy. The chicken in their coconut chicken was literally inedible. It was like rocks in a sauce. The unfortunate part is that the flavours of the sauces and broths that they make are actually really good. That’s why they still get 2 stars. I hope they can get back on track because they have had some really delicious food in the past…. Just stop overcooking the meats !!!!
