I had an absolutely amazing experience at Kilimanjaro VIP in Edmonton! This East African restaurant is a hidden gem. The highlight of my meal was definitely the Babalowa Plate—it’s bursting with flavors and truly a must-try! The coconut beans and rice are to die for, so creamy and perfectly seasoned. On top of the incredible food, the owner is super kind and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even more special. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their delicious menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic East African cuisine!

This is a quality place all around. Had never had Swahili food before and our server, Banza, excitedly shared helpful suggestions of what sides to pair with our meals. Of course these tips were spot on and the meal was delicious. Made for a stellar experience with tons of flavours and all around goodness. A gem through and through and ought to be on your list of places to try!

I was the only white guy. The food was fabulous, best Samosa of my life. Cheap drinks and beautiful strong women.
The large group asked me to take photos for them which I obliged and they loved me.

The service was a bit slow and disorganized on the night we went – it might have been because we were a large group. However, the servers are very polite and the food is absolutely amazing. There’s something for everyone on the menu, and the staff was knowledgeable in helping us choose. Great place to go grab a bite with friends. The food was delicious so I will definitely be back.
