A truly unique French experience in Edmonton! The decor is authentic, the staff actually speaks French, and most importantly, the food is amazing!
Pro tip: order a Genepi and a cream brulle to top of your dinner!

We booked in mid week for a Bday dinner to find out our table is literally by the entrance while the whole restaurant is not even full! I was surprised by that so we stuck with it assuming it might get busy but nope… our waiter can be slow in times and he wad taking care of less then 3 tables! In same time he would just grab plates that still have food in it without checking if we are done! I have read mix reviews but i would agree the service in the place is not spot on! Food wise, a bit salty but overall good.

3 of us went for Thanksgiving supper with high expectations as it was our first time there. Atmosphere and ambience of restaurant was neat and somewhat different but that is all we can say in terms of complimentary. We ordered mussels: came out tasting unfreshed and overcooked so we asked server to return it without consuming 80 percent if it. The second mussels dish was better but our bill showed that this order was charged twice! (See photo). We ordered salad but vegetables were not crisp and fresh at all. We ordered bouillabaisse at 34 dollars but there were only 2 shrimps, one small piece of fish and 2 mussels in this dish with an unusual sauce which was not tasty. The size of this dish was like a child’s menu portion. Our other dishes including bone marrow, escargots, frites, cheese plate were average but not above par. Server was polite and introduced the menu well but did not seem to be interested to come back to add water to our glasses. Will be thinking twice next time if we are to return to dine here again. Certainly a big disappointment!

This used to be one of my favourite spots in the city, unfortunately they have significantly gone downhill in the last year. Poor service, empty water glasses for the 50 mins of waiting for cold food to arrive. Still a lovely atmosphere however if I returned it would probably be for a cocktail and dessert. This place used to be slammed on a Saturday night and at 730pm half the tables were empty.

I went to this restaurant yesterday for a special catch-up with my friend and deliberately chose it for our get-together. Sadly, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in this city.

We waited over 30 minutes after finishing our starters before realizing something was wrong — only then were we told that the kitchen had completely forgotten to make our main course. This was not proactively communicated; we had to ask first. After that, we waited another 20 minutes before the food finally came.

What made the experience even worse was the service. Our server barely checked on us, while the tables around us received attentive service three or four times in the same period. The difference was so obvious that it felt like we were being treated differently because we don’t speak French.

When we asked for the bill, we were made to wait over 15 minutes, despite seeing our server actively serving other tables. We had to ask twice before finally receiving it.

To top it all off, I woke up this morning feeling sick and vomited undigested fish from last night’s meal.

This restaurant showed poor communication, unacceptable delays, and what felt like discriminatory service. I strongly discourage anyone from supporting a place that treats customers this way. Absolutely will not be coming back.

This place offers an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. As you enter, you’re greeted by the warm, rustic atmosphere that transports you straight to a cozy corner of Provence. I started with the escargot, a dish I’ve always been hesitant to try but was so glad I did. The garlic butter sauce was rich and flavorful, making the escargot tender and melt-in-your-mouth. For the main course, the braised short ribs were an absolute highlight—falling apart with a fork and packed with deep, savory flavors. The service was top-notch—our server was knowledgeable, making perfect recommendations without rushing us. The ambiance was intimate yet lively, a perfect setting for a leisurely dinner.

The food here was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented. Service was also great, attentive without being overbearing. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The views from the patio were amazing, but I do wish the tables were a bit higher or the patio wall a bit lower so you could enjoy them better while seated.

It is on the pricier side, which is something to keep in mind, though not surprising for this restaurant. Overall, a great experience and well worth a visit.

Very tight and claustrophobic spacing and atmosphere. Food is very bland, overpriced and clearly the place tries to sell itself on fancy presentation, but the quality and flavour doesn’t deliver. An average order for 4 people with 2 appetizers and 2 main courses took over an hour in total to come out. Service is lacking and inattentive. Would probably have to be paid to ever return but it would still be highly unlikely I’d ever go back.

Not What It Used to Be – Disappointing Experience

We’ve been loyal patrons of this restaurant for several years, with over 10 visits under our belt. In the past, we’ve always left well-fed and impressed by the ambiance, food, and attentive service. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was by far the most disappointing.
The quality of both the food and service has noticeably declined. Perhaps there’s a new chef or management change? The halibut with cream sauce was incredibly salty—borderline inedible. The other dish we ordered had clearly been sitting under heat lamps for too long, resulting in dried-out food and hardened cheese.

My husband, starving, tried to make the best of it and ate what he could of the halibut, but left a small piece (about a one-inch square) on the plate. From the onset of the meal we mentioned the excessive saltiness. Once finished, the server cleared our dishes. Surprisingly, a few minutes later, they returned with that same small leftover piece of halibut, reheated and served on a new plate, topped with a “newly modified” sauce—presumably to remedy the saltiness.
This was extremely off-putting. Re-serving a leftover piece of fish from a cleared plate, likely microwaved, is not only unprofessional—it’s unsanitary. The revised sauce was still too salty, just watered down, and the reheated fish was dry and overcooked. If the restaurant wanted to make things right, they should have offered a fresh replacement dish.

We were later informed that there is a transition chef, which may explain the lapse in quality. Still, it was a shocking departure from the high standards we’d come to expect.

We declined the offered dessert but one was brought anyways - seemingly as a way to avoid adjusting the bill for the overly salty $42 Halibut. We were'nt asking for a discount to the bill (and never got one) but this felt dismissive rather than thoughtful.

We gave 3 stars for food only because the escargot and foie gras were very good.

This experience is a deal breaker and suggests it's time for us to move on.

Classic Western European feel. Nestled in a 3 story in Garneau. Fantastic French cuisine, over looks a stunning downtown skyline. Romantic yet vibrant. Fabulous server Margot, i couldn't fully get her name because of the French accent so I hope I got it right. Her food recommendations and champagne suggestions were on point. I just wish I ordered the creme brule when I ordered the mains cause they were 86ed when it was time for dessert.
