Lucky Kitchen is one of our favourite restaurant in Edmonton to get some authentic Chinese food and dimsum. They have both Chinese and English menu and that makes ordering food so much easier, especially with pictures of the dishes shown clearly. We like to go after peak hours (on weekdays) so the place will be quiet and not so crowded. Staffs are friendly and are quick to serve the customers. The dishes we ordered were delicious, not too oily. Some of our favourites are Shanghai Noodles, Deep Fried Taro Dumplings with Pork, Steamed Dumplings, Steamed Beef Tripe, Seafood/ Chicken Chow Mein, Seafood Fried Rice and Salted Egg Yolk Cream Buns. Looking forward to try some other dishes next time like Durian Pastry and Steamed Curry Squid!

Dining environment: The place is not big, but clean and well-organizedFood: The taste is average, the best is the barbecued pork rice roll. The beef satay is slightly salty in seasoning, but the beef is not over marinated (with soda powder), so it tastes good. The siomai was a big piece, with only pork and a little bit of shrimp (ratio 8:2 at most). It had a solid texture. Unfortunately, one piece of it had hair crumbs after eating it, which was a bit disgusting! The pork ribs in the pork rib rice don't have much meat, and the taste is okay, but the chicken feet have a "street" smell, and the rice is too wet (it's not boiled to rotten rice, it's as wet as if soaked in water). So I didn’t finish it, so I took it home and cooked it with Gou’s own rice. The taste of beef cypress leaves is acceptable but the seasoning is light. The chicken feet had no flavor, and my husband thought it had a strange smell, so we didn't finish it.Service: The clerk was courteous and diligent. Seeing that we had not finished eating the chicken feet, he knew that we thought the chicken feet tasted unusual and proactively gave us a discount. This was the first time I encountered this in a Canadian restaurant.

I ordered off skip and was somewhat disappointed. The shrimp and pork dumplings looked sad, the pan fried rice roll with shrimp had literally NO shrimp. It was just a rice roll. I kept digging through it and hoping to find something but it was literally a rice roll, that looked more steamed than anything. Id give it another try but I wouldn't get my hopes up. The hot and sour soup was tasty tho!

My go-to place for dimsum! We used to go to Tasty Noodle and found that place is overpriced now. Lucky Kitchen aways seats available when I go, attentive staff, quality is good. Only once have they forgotten an item we chose on our menu but after it occurred, they kept coming to the table to make sure we got everything we ordered. We always go here for dimsum. Very reasonable prices.

If you are tired of the long queue and noisy surroundings inside Beijing Beijing, this is the new place you should give it a try. I found this place online, and after reading the review , I saw the pictures of the food look good, so I decided to try on the first day of Chinese New Year. Well, I am satisfied with the dim sum that we ordered. Price is reasonable, too. I will definitely go there again.Parking: Free parking at a spacious lot.
