The venue is great in terms of being able to get up and personal with the artists. I did not appreciate that the time on the ticket was actually the time the doors opened and that the concert didn't start until 2 hours later. I understand that doors usually open well before am artist starts, but that is usually noted. The bartenders were great. The sound was iffy at times. The bathrooms are in desperate need of repair.

Midway has been a great music venue and the artists they bring in are top-notch so I am giving them a couple stars for that.

I did have a recent, very uncomfortable and upsetting experience at Midway however during the Mariana's Trench concert. I am more of a masculine presenting female and use the women's washroom when given the choice. I usually will get a few looks and typically try to get in and out as fast as possible to avoid drawing attention to myself as this does cause me quite a bit of anxiety. On this particular night, I waited as long as I could and went during a song in hopes of the washroom being less busy. I saw a washroom attendant, took the time to make sure I made eye contact with her and smiled to show that I wasn't intoxicated and knew exactly where I was. I was just about to close the stall door when I heard her yell, extremely loud and aggressively, "HEY, HEY!" at me to which I responded by slowly walking out from the stall and saying, "I am a woman...." and walking back into the stall, feeling embarrassed and very unsettled. I went out to wash my hands and the washroom attendant proceeded to hand me a paper towel, said absolutely nothing to me, and stared me down like I still was out of place being in the women's washroom.

I left feeling like I wanted to go home immediately. I don't feel this treatment towards ANYONE is acceptable and that proper staff training on how to properly handle a situation like this should be done by Midway. People can make mistakes but I don't feel this mistake was apologized for or even acknowledged by the staff member in the washroom that night.

If you want to offer an inclusive, safe, inviting environment for everyone and anyone, no matter what they look like or how they identify, please take the time to educate your staff on how to treat everyone like they belong and are welcome at Midway.

Overall, we really enjoy the live music Midway brings in. But this last time, we had a very disappointing experience.

My wife went to use the women's washroom and was addressed inappropriately by the washroom attendant. My wife dresses more masculine and has her head shaved but very much knows which washroom to use. My wife made eye contact with the staff member, smiling at her while she walked in, as she does in these environments to make sure her more masculine image does not draw extra attention to herself. The washroom attendant then yelled "HEY! HEY!" to my wife twice, very loudly across the washroom as my wife entered a stall. My wife had to step out of the washroom and say "I am a woman" before she was able to use the washroom.

Midway please do better. Educate your staff and be kind to all types of people who come here.

Found what looked to be a camera hidden in the woman’s washroom in a vent on the floor. When I brought it to two people’s attention they stated they couldn’t help me. Left our event early due to this.

Outrageous drink prices. 8.50+ for a non alcholic beer. That’s 1-4.50$ more then any establishment in Edmonton , more expensive then Roger’s

Recently attended the Marianas trench concert in the premium seating. We spent the whole concert listening to staff and people who didn't have wristbands shouting conversation at each other in the area. half the time you couldn't even hear the performers speaking and during quieter songs you could only hear the conversations going on. Staff didn't do anything about the situation and contributed to it by engaging with their friends over doing their jobs. Very poor experience.

The Starlite Room’s location and layout present some significant challenges, particularly during Edmonton’s colder months. Situated in a somewhat unusual spot, navigating the venue can be a less-than-ideal experience. The entrance process is notably inconvenient—patrons often find themselves in an extended line that alternates between indoor and outdoor sections, leaving them exposed to the elements multiple times before finally getting inside.

This design flaw feels particularly problematic given Edmonton's harsh winters, creating discomfort for attendees and raising safety concerns during extreme cold. While the venue excels in its atmosphere and staff hospitality, addressing these logistical and structural issues would greatly improve the overall experience and ensure a more accessible and comfortable environment for guests year-round.

I cannot express enough gratitude for Midway Music Hall, Live Nation, and their incredible staff. After my sister passed away at just 29 years old, we wanted to honor her with a Celebration of Life at a music venue, as she loved concerts and shows. From my very first interaction with Alex at Live Nation, I knew we had found the perfect place. Alex, Leslie, Zak, and the entire team at Midway Music Hall went above and beyond to support us during such a difficult time.

Their care, compassion, and thoughtfulness were evident in every step of the process. They worked closely with us to customize the event to reflect who my sister was, and the results were truly remarkable. Every guest commented on how beautiful and meaningful the event was, and I know my sister would have loved it.

The team's amazing communication and willingness to go the extra mile made a heartbreaking experience bittersweet. I am deeply appreciative of everything they did for me and my family. I cannot recommend Midway Music Hall and Live Nation enough. If you’re considering hosting a special event, this is the team to trust.

Thank you again for everything—you made an incredibly difficult time just a little brighter.

I was there last night for moontricks, fantastic show, but the bartender, Emilie (with glasses( absolutely made the evening. She was so much fun and has the best energy! Thanks Midway!

The concert I attended was absolutely amazing.
Would probably only return if a band I adore is playing here.

The bathrooms were gross at the beginning of the night, right after doors opened at 7. I don't even want to think about how much worse they got throughout the night.
I guess vaping is allowed in the venue? Tons of people vaping all night with no security even batting an eye.
