This place has been on my to-go-to list for a few years. Tonight my wife and I decided to try it. The overall appearance of the restaurant was elegant, clean, and inviting. It was a very modern and welcoming environment.
Upon walking in, staff greeted us immediately and made sure we were comfortable in a cozy booth. The waiter was attentive and very helpful. The menu was plentiful and detailed. One thing my wife loved about it was that it was indicating which items were vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free as she has some allergies and preferences.
We ordered a few dishes. We ordered an appetizer flight, a korma dish, a chickpea dish, and saffron. It was all soooo good! And spiced perfectly. Everything came out in a perfect order and we didn't have to wait long at all. We will 100% be back to this place. I think we've found our favorite Indian restaurant in the city. Thanks to the staff for making this such a great date night.
Also, my wife was impressed that the plants inside the restaurant were real.

Excellent value. Fine dining at mid dining prices. They could be an Indian bakery. The bread is that good. I saw a pickup order for just 4 naan so someone else feels the same. Mark was friendly behind the bar and his food recommendations were spot on.

Monsoon delivered one of the best meals I’ve had for long. I ordered the dal makhni, paneer, and lacha paratha. The paneer was outstanding, the dal makhni had a unique taste I’ve never had before but turned out excellent, and the lacha paratha was soft, crispy, and melted in the mouth.
Customer service from Kawal was exceptional and brought back memories of the old, good Edmonton hospitality. Nothing fell short — everything was well above expectations. Easily one of the top spots in the city. A little expensive but worth it.
This is the second year we’ve hosted our annual holiday party with dinner catered by Monsoon Bistro and Bar, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely amazing, with several delicious vegetarian options like the flavorful vegetable pakora. The staff were incredibly accommodating, helpful, and efficient throughout the entire event. Their support made everything run smoothly, and we couldn’t have had such a successful celebration without them. Highly recommend Monsoon Bistro and Bar for any event!

We first visited Monsoon Indian Bistro almost 4 years ago, and my husband and I instantly fell in love. Being from Montreal, where food and restaurant standards are top-tier, we came to Edmonton with very high expectations—especially for Indian cuisine.
We were searching for an Indian restaurant that offered romantic atmosphere, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional dining experience, and while we had a few regular spots at the time, nothing truly stood out… until we discovered Monsoon.
On our very first visit, we met Mark, and ever since then, he has been our go-to person. His hospitality sets him apart—he always makes us feel welcomed, valued, and at home. We keep coming back not just for the incredible food, but largely because of Mark. He consistently elevates our experience, and his warm personality is one of the main reasons this place has remained our favorite for the past 4 years.
We’ve also had the pleasure of meeting other wonderful staff members—Kanwal, Khushi, and Sara—who are all equally kind and professional.
The wine menu is impressive and thoughtfully curated, offering a beautiful selection every time. We’ve never left without enjoying a bottle of wine, and we’ve never left disappointed.
The food is outstanding, the ambiance is romantic, the service is unmatched, and the staff truly cares about their guests.
100% will continue to return—Monsoon is our forever favorite, and Mark is a big part of why.

We visited this restaurant on November 26, 2025 (yesterday)for our wedding anniversary dinner and were quite disappointed. We ordered Paneer Tikka and Palak Paneer. The Achaari Paneer Tikka was not made in a tandoor as expected — it looked oven-cooked with no skewer marks, no achaari or any other flavour , just yellow colour and salt and the paneer in both dishes was extremely hard and rubbery. Moreover chef garnished paneer tikka with raw fenugreek (methi) leaves instead of cilantro. It was difficult to chew and lacked flavor. Sadly, this poor quality spoiled our special day. Hope the restaurant improves its quality and authenticity.
