Sandwich Chef was straight down. Would go back just to see him.

The old man behind the sandwich counter accused me of stealing the pre packed sandwich i already paid for! I was waiting for my friend who ordered a shawarma from him and was eating the sandwich I ALREADY PAID FOR on the counter with the nice lady and was called by him asking if “I already paid for the sandwich, because he saw me eating it”. Does he think I don’t have the decency to pay for a sandwich? He never believed me and has hesitancy on his face. Very condescending and rude.

Olly Fresco – 107 Street, Edmonton
Not the same as the Calgary location, at least from what I remember. That one felt more vibrant, with a wider selection and better energy.
Maybe it’s the location—tucked inside a government building. Maybe it’s post-COVID downtown. Maybe there are just too many other lunch spots in the core. This stretch has always been tough for restaurants—the place next door has flipped twice in the past two years. Olly’s still hanging on, likely thanks to steady foot traffic and a lack of quality options nearby.
The price point is fair—$2.49/100g—but the buffet itself is barebones. Few hot items. Cold side’s just as limited. Didn’t even bother with the sandwich counter. Chocolate bars and desserts are marked up as expected.
The chicken stew was decent. The fish was Basa. Overall? Slim pickings.
If you’re already in the building and just need something quick, maybe it scratches the itch. I can’t see myself coming back for a second round.

This used to be the hottest place for lunch dry. Selection and quality have decreased since they left city centre.

The gentleman who works at the sandwich/soup counter is AMAZING! He is so incredibly kind, and provided excellent service. I didn’t catch his name but I hope he knows how appreciated he is!

Walked past the location a few times and felt excited to try. Approached to walk in, from outside window noticed the attendant seated on the ground behind the counter, essentially hiding from customers to play on her phone.
Went in anyway, selected a baked good from the food area and realized it was rock hard. Selected another with the same result. Asked the attendant for a latte and was told it would be 5 minutes. Agreed and then was met with attendant going back to her cellphone and watching videos. Finally got my coffee and was served it while she decided to get on her phone for a call.
So so disappointed with the experience, especially after being excited to visit. Will NOT be returning.

Staff is unfriendly and the food looks old. Might as well just go to Tim Hortons across the street. Heard they were closing down soon so don't get their gift cards.

Bring back the pre-Covid breakfast buffet. WHERE IS THE BACON??This place used to be full every morning for breakfast. Now a shell of its former self.

Their prices are fairly reasonable and the food is good.
Great quality food with a good variety on the buffet. Allows you to take the portion you want at a fair price. The soups are always delicious and you can customize your own sandwiches and paninis. They also just re-instated the breakfast buffet from 8am to 10:00am , Tuesday to Thursday The staff there are very friendly and accommodating! Love this place!!!!!

Okay this place is a spacious place to either stay in or take out food service! They're doin an excellent job on what they do. A question I need to ask, my spouse told me they do not have to wear a mask but everyone else does, in this government building. If that's the AH building they're in ,do they wipe the handles of the bathrooms, main doors of the buildings front n back doors? I'm jus getting curious on how they handle rules n safety. Thank you very much for reading my concern. But keep up the good jobs and take care of each other.
