I recently visited Boxcar Coffee Shop for the first time, and I was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a menu that caters to all tastes. The service was top-notch – friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

“I find the food at this location to be hit or miss. Last time was pretty good. This time was not. For one, they ran out of ribs and fries. How does that happen? Then they shorted us on our shrimp skewers and ended up giving them to us for free instead of giving the rest of them to us so maybe they ran out of that as well. A couple of us ordered steak which was awful. Hard and chewy and just not good at all. Plus all of our meals were cold. After waiting nearly an hour for food u would think it would be served hot atleast. We could have complained, but we already had waited so long we didn't want to wait more. It was a disappointment as I had taken my family out for father's day. Not sure Ill go back to this location. Ill stick to the Keg for good steak and where the mature staff know what they are doing.“

“My friends and I went to Omen and it was the most incredible experience!! We were met with such grace and hospitality, Victor and Aidan were so incredible. The customer experience alone would make me come back, however, the beer was incredible. We did the happy beer street tour, and Omen was by far the best spot! You have to come by!“

“I live very close to this place, it is a great place to go. Everything they have on tap is delicious. In fact my wife has even fallen in love with one of there stouts. She is not a beer drinker. Great people behind the bar, the owners are fantastic and the atmosphere is super inviting. In the summer they have an outdoor area with games and sometime food trucks are around. They have a small selection of card games and board games inside. My wife loves the fact that dogs are allowed and I am sure some parents are happy that they can bring their children in while they have a quick great tasting beer.“

“Located off of Whytes Road, this place is serving up some delicious local meats, from brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc they've got it all.
Their brisket was tender and flavorful.
The pork ribs were smokey, and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
We order a side of Mac and cheese and two large pickles. Both a great side dish that complement the meats.
Service was superb, friendly and efficient!

The clever beer names—like "In Another Castle" and "DunkelKong"—are a solid start, but I wanted an even stronger theme presence. They’ve got a cool epoxy LED-lit table that fits right in with the vibe, yet there’s room to amp up the nerdy game-centric atmosphere.“

“I have been a loyal customer for more than 30 years at Stawnichy's Mundare Sausage because I believe they make the finest sausage in western Canada. Three generations of my family have always stopped in Mundare to pick up a fairly large order … mainly sausage and pepperoni … to bring to extended family and friends in Saskatoon as it is not sold in our province. Heck, we’ve even made a special trip many times to Mundare for the sole purpose of buying their sausage. The quality of their product and their customer service has been excellent. Last week we placed a large order, over 50 rings of sausage, 10 packs of pepperoni and 2 pounds of jerkey bits. When our friend picked up the order he asked if he should open and check to make sure it was accurate as the total cost was quite higher than previous orders we had placed of similar size. He was told not to worry as it was good to go. After arriving home in Saskatoon, the cases were opened and to our shock there was over 13.5 pounds of jerky bits which explained the large bill. We had planned to spend around $50 on jerky bits definitely not around $350. That is definitely an excessive difference when we are retired and on a fixed income. I called the following day to discuss this mix up with a very nice employee, Doreen, who was the acting manager in the store that day.I explained how I had been given and charged for almost 14 pounds of jerky when I only order 2. She apologized for the mistake She indicated that we would be refunded the difference and that she just needed to run it past the manager and asked me to call back on Tuesday. When I called on Tuesday and asked to speak to Doreen I was asked my name and when I gave my name to them I was put on hold until Brian came onto the phone. He was overly combative as soon as the conversation began and was completely unwilling to honour what was discussed between Doreen and me on Saturday. After a brief back and forth the line went dead and that’s when Tyler jumped on. Now this clown was a real treat to deal with. I have never been spoken to so rudely by an employee at a business. I was accused of lying when he tried telling me my facts were wrong and that the person I had pick it up did in fact check the order in the store (I doubled checked with my friend who confirmed he never checked the order, plus the fact that we cut the tape open on the boxes would confirm to me that this didn’t happen). Then Tyler had the nerve to accuse me of trying to scam them and that this was some type of scheme to get free product from them. His answer to resolve this situation was to offer a $100 instore credit, which I refused, as I highly doubt I will return there after being treated so poorly and point blank being called a liar. This was nothing more than a simple mix up, I ordered 2 pounds of jerky bits and was sent and charged for 13.5 (at $26/pound). However, the response was so unprofessional from these two idiots, it has just left me shaking my head. I would highly recommend they take a page out of Doreen’s book as they could learn a lot from her about customer service and owning up to your mistakes.If these two individuals are the voice of the Stawnichy name the founders of this great family business would be appalled as there business is based on treating customers with respect. This is a complete embarrassment for this company which until now has been nothing but great to deal with over the past decades and I hope some lessons are learned from it. I’m not sure if these are new managers but clearly they need lessons in how to treat customers.“

“We stopped by Ayco Cafe for a quick take-out and had an iced matcha latte and iced chai latte — both were exactly what we hoped for: smooth, flavorful, and refreshing. The staff were super friendly and easy to talk to, with great customer service and clear communication. We didn’t get a chance to try their brunch or baked goods this time, but judging by the amazing display and wide selection, we’ll definitely be back to explore more. Looking forward to our next visit!“

“I always drive by daily so today I decided to go to MY FRIES for lunch and I ordered the taco fries. I must say it tasted amazing the quantity was on par and the quality was above expectations.. I also got to meet the owner whom is a very nice lady. “This is the second time I’ve had cosmic pizza in the past few days. First I tried their pepperoni, a classic; amazing flavour great crust and the cheese! Oh the cheese. Next was their Donair pizza. There aren’t many good donair pizza places in Edmonton, but this one takes the cake. Honestly they have a unique crust and a quantity of cheese that most other places don’t. If it’s a toss up tonight for you, order Cosmic, hands down.“

“The venue is welcoming & trendy, with an inviting bar area and cosy tables. Outdoor seating overlooking the road is also an option. Service was great - very attentive & knowledgeable. I had two starters / shareable- the scallops cevice & the steak tartar. The tartar was really delicious! Flavors very well balanced & the sourdough was perfect for mopping up the sauce. The cevice was good - the spicy sweet chili was the perfect addition. Co-diners had steak which looked very average, and was reported to be a bit overcooked. Personally I would have been a bit disappointed in the tallow chips, as they were not at all like fries but rather like snacking chips.
The cocktails were interesting & had some great well balanced options.“
