Good south Indian food

1-star. Extremely disappointing experience with my family

Walked in with my family including my small child. Waited 30 minutes just to be seated. While we stood waiting, another party walked in and was seated immediately.

When we finally ordered, staff said food would be 30 minutes. After 1 hour, the manager came to apologize that our meal had been given to someone else. We waited another full hour and still received no food.

During the entire 2+ hours we were there, I noticed multiple other groups walk in, get seated right away, and receive their food quickly. The common factor seemed to be that we were treated differently than patrons of a different race.

Having a mistake happen is one thing. Having it happen repeatedly while watching others get prioritized is unacceptable. To make a family with a young child wait over 2 hours and leave hungry is poor service and poor management.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The experience felt discriminatory and we left humiliated, hungry, and disappointed.

Amazing authentic Kerala food. Service definitely needs work.

Tried the Malabar goat roast and Kerala Porotta. It truly hit the spot. Great Kallappam, masala dosa and medu vada and Beef curry.
Food is phenomenal but the service definitely needs to be improved. Very slow service. Not enough servers. You need to ask several times for napkins and water. Also they don't clean the table between courses till you ask them to. The servers definitely need better training. I'm a Malayali and I'm used to slow service at Kerala restaurants but I was with some Canadians and they did not really appreciate it.
I will keep coming here because you cannot find Kerala food like this elsewhere but I hope the service is improved.

The server recommended masala Dosa as we like spicy so he said that was spicy as we are new to South Indian food we don’t know much about it but clearly we want spicy dosa we order masala dosa on his recommendation it was pathetic in taste just no spice at all no masala at all at the end I told her that the dosa wasn’t spicy so cashier is so rude she said masala dosa is not spicy dosa I said this is what the server recommended btw experience is 0 never gonna go Back again

Extremely disappointed with my $23.99 chicken biryani. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I was served broken rice with only three tiny pieces of chicken. I have never seen broken rice used in chicken biryani before. This will be my first and last time ordering from this location.

Though I arrived just before closing time, the staff were welcoming, relaxed, and still prepared the food with great care. The portion size was generous, beef roast was excellent, and the overall experience was absolutely worth the money.

Had a chance to check out Savoy today, and from the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere — complete with a gorgeous 3D art piece that I genuinely couldn’t take my eyes off. Since it was a bit chilly outside, we kicked things off with their rasam, which was perfectly spicy and hit all the right spots. The Chicken & Fish Matka Biryani was absolutely delicious — rich, aromatic, and well worth the hype. We also had the chance to try the Mango Fish Curry, which was just incredibly yummy. Overall, great food, great vibes, and we will definitely be visiting again!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
