This place was recommended by a friend recently. We arrived on an hour before it closed, so wasn’t very busy. The staff was very welcoming. Food, service and atmosphere were five out of five! Absolutely amazing little place. It’s our new favourite sushi place, and right in the neighborhood!

The best Japanese restaurant in Edmonton. Lunch bento, chirashi don, poke bowls, and giant soban are all fantastic. I visit here almost every other week ??

Very good restaurant and the recommendation for me is a 6/6 stars for this restaurant. Have a wonderful day folks, there’s food here.

I would give this hidden gem place a 5/5 in everything! Excellent service from their staff! They have the best rolls in terms of taste and price! Their sashimis are huge too! Their dinner plates are worth trying! I love the fact that we can eat Japanese and some Korean dishes in one place with the best quality!

We came late at night, there wasn’t much people since it was an hour and a half before they closed. The ambiance of the place was amazing and the design gave privacy to the people that ate there. The food had big servings and tasted amazing. The prices were reasonable, their servings and the quality of the food gave justice to the price. It was really worth it. The presentation of the food was also excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We were even all given a complimentary dish by the chef during our meal, I believe it was a new dish to their menu called the salmon tempura, and a lollipop at the end of our meal.

Was at Soban for a family dinner on a Saturday night. My first time here. It was busy and I could feel that everyone in the restaurant was having a good time. Though food took quite a while to arrive, we were served magnificent food. Their sashimi was very fresh and at a great price. There is a long list of maki rolls on their menu and it was hard for us to make our choice because they all seem delish! Rounded up dinner with a tempura icecream which was a very good dessert to share with. Will definitely visit again!

Korean style ?, delicious! Quality is there. Service is good, normal though as they didn't recommend anything -drink or otherwise. This is a good opportunity to romance certain items - doesn't have to be an upsell. Lots of restaurants miss this in their training, I feel that asides from specials, servers should pick a couple items to point out to costumers. Could be an add on/side that goes well with something. Atmosphere is ok. Go for the food!!

First time being back since the owners changed. I prefer this place over Mikado now. The lunch sashimi and pork bento were filling and satisfying. The sashimi pieces were thick and mouthful. Ordered some nigri sushi and some rolls and they were well presented and tasty.

Was too excited to eat before actually taking pictures! All tables were full as of 715pm but it wasnt long till we were seated by one of the two servers. They were very busy but didn't neglect any tables of warm and prompt service. The rolls tasted as good as they looked, and these were the biggest sashimi pieces ive ever had in the whole city!We were offered 4 pieces of a torched butterfish? Nigiri. Would highly reccomend! Thanks for dinner!
