I would not even rate 1 star had it been there would have been an option.

My wife & I went to dine in last night, we were offered a table which we gladly accepted, waiting for our food to come the server comes in asking us (not requesting) to take another table which was at the entrance which we denied. After sometime she again comes and ask to move to another table which we accepted unknowingly she would make us sit side by side instead of facing each other, which was an instant turn off for both of us, because food was being ordered & served so we had to stay otherwise we would have left immediately.

We finished our food as fast as we could & felt uncomfortable spending any other second there. I’ve never experienced such a cold welcome in my life & server didn’t had any expressions while she was welcoming guest's.

We also mentioned about how we felt when we were leaving & she didn’t even care about it. I’ve been into hospitality since last 20 years and never encountered this kind of experience & behaviour from the server.

I would never come back even if the food is good.

Without question one of the top Indian cuisines in Edmonton. Can’t wait to go back?

A must visit restaurant for Indian delicasies. The food is amazing with authentic Indian taste. Good use of Indian spices and herbs. Service is really fast and friendly. Restaurant ambience is also good.

Great experience. Jessi has amazing customer service and makes an excellent papri chaat (mention me to get the same special chaat, must try). She brought us a good-sized portion of very tasty Papri chaat that everyone enjoyed. Halal chicken karahi, medium spices was a bit spicy for my taste, I'll go for mild next time. Garlic naans were excellent. Sweet coconut naan was excellent
Aloo naan were bland needed magic of spices. The setting of the restaurant is nice and clean with black glittery tables ?.
Tip: Go with mild curries.

Waited over an hour for my takeout order, then got home and only half my order was in there. Refused to give me any sort of added food items for compensation or refund when I went back. Horrible service, food was okay.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been too. We ordered papri chaat (they serve with bhalla which had a very bad smell and taste like week old), fried momos (not even cooked properly) and malai paneer tikka (paneer had very bad taste and smell very different it looks like it is 2 weeks old).

After this we ordered main course with paneer stuffed naan and malai kofta. With just one bite we let the server know that stuffed naan have bad smell and paneer taste sour.

We complained about it and server told us that they can only offer 10% discount on total. They charged us for items that we did not even touched. WORST RESTAURANT WITH WORST FOOD AND SERVICE.

If someone is looking for quick meal then this place is not something that you want to step in. It took them almost an hour to serve one meal. Would not recommend anyone to come here.

So delicious! Tonight was our first time trying Spirit of India. It was excellent. The food was hot at pick up, quick to order, and well packaged. The butter chicken was rich and creamy and the samosa were seasoned to perfection. Definitely going back to try some other items on the menu!
