Review: Great Food, But Be Aware of Groupon Restrictions

I recently visited this restaurant after purchasing a Groupon coupon—and while the food was excellent, I learned a valuable lesson along the way.

Originally, I intended to use the coupon to buy pizza, but there were some fine-print restrictions regarding pizza size and quantity that weren’t clearly mentioned on the Groupon deal. As a result, I ended up ordering their Supreme Poutine and Nachos Supreme instead. Both dishes turned out to be delicious, with generous portions and great flavor, so no complaints there!

That said, here’s some advice: always call the restaurant first before buying or redeeming a Groupon coupon. Some terms and conditions only become clear after you place your order or try to pay—by then, it’s often too late to make changes or get a refund. A quick phone call can save you from any confusion or disappointment.

As for the food itself, I’d absolutely recommend their deep-dish pizzas—they looked amazing, and I’ll definitely be back to try them. The restaurant also offers good weekly specials, including a buy-one-get-one-free pasta deal on certain days and senior discounts, which are nice touches if you’re dining with family.

Overall, the food was great and the atmosphere welcoming, but be cautious with third-party deals to ensure you get the best experience.

Good food in good price. Their coffee is their USP!

Went to checkout their restaurant, we ordered 2 hot Hamburger sandwiches but couldn't eat the hamburgers as they were sour tasting. Talked with server about it, and he stressed over and over that there was nothing wrong. We weren't offered any substitute meals or even an apology. We paid our bill and left. Definitely will not be back. Beware!

I ordered a small pizza for lunch. It was very tasty and a good size portion. The service staff was polite and prompt. The interior is dated which is okay but the carpet is disgusting with a black trail of footsteps. A worn carpet is ok if it's clean and not greasy looking. I recommend take-out only.

We had pre ordered montreal smoked meat sandwiches for our workplace lunch only for them not have any food ready the day of. They also charged us for 247$ for a nonexistent meal. Pretty sure thats fraud and when they were called to dispute the issue they hung up the phone. Terrible customer service!! If I could give 0/5 I would!!

Their pizzas are the best!! I’ve lived in Edmonton for 11 years now and pizza is my favourite food- so I’m always trying new pizza places to find my favourite or try new ones. Steakout is my number 1 in Edmonton. The pizza and toppings are so fresh and they are generous with the toppings. It’s Absolutely the best. I’m shocked to see they don’t have higher ratings as I think they deserve it. I’m a picky eater myself but steakout is an easy choice for me.

What happened to this place .used to be one of the top tier pizza restaurants. Now I wouldn't even feed my dog this nonsense. Lowest quality pizza i ever ate ...pizza 73 is 5 stars to this now ..clearly its new ownership ..what a shame

The name says about steak. Had a 12oz Rib eye, ordered some pizza and a couple of pasta.

Honestly one of the worst Rib eyes we have ever had. So chewy.
Pasta was so bland and just floury in flavor and the lasagna was just flat pasta with tomato sauce and no meat at all.
Just opened the take out which we took as we over ordered and just made me write this when I opened it at home.

Price is pretty low but the reason is so evident.

Wouldn’t visit again.

We ordered from Skip. Order was on point. No complaints on delivery or packaging. Half of the food was good.

1 peculiar thing was the addition of ketchup in their salsa. The addition wasn’t a great combination with nachos. I’d say it bordered on disgusting. Nobody enjoyed it.

2nd was their Calamari dish….. It’s basically a deep fried, very chewy onion ring lacking any flavour and served with tzatziki. We love Calamari and eat it often when we go out. These got no more than 2 bites and we threw nearly all of it away. I’d recommend a new supplier or preparation method.

I’ve been ordering here for a few years and I don’t want to pile on, their nachos and skins were very good. Especially since we ordered delivery. I would order here again for sure, but nothing with salsa or their current Calamari dish

Went for breakfast. They had a breakfast special for $4.99!! 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and toast!! Gave them stars based on the price alone! They have different breakfast specials daily! Family owned and operated and welcoming. Recommend for your next local breakfast.
