I've lived here for over a year and always went by... this morning I decided to try it as Starbucks is hard to get to thru construction downtown. And they gave me my first coffee free. For stopping and trying 🫶 and let me tell you.. I've found my coffee spot 😍 Beautiful little spot with the vest vibes

Caleb does a consistently good job with the drinks. He precisely confirms the weight and temperature of the brews to keep the quality the same day after day. The home is pleasant and nice to be inside, and the outside is in a quiet area so that is nice seating as well. The quirky things like his tiny video game tv makes the place uniquely pleasant.

Full disclosure: I used to live in this house with a bunch of friends way back when New York still had twin towers and everybody thought “Y2K” was going to end the world. We also occasionally sold stimulants at this location (ha ha ha, take that, statute of limitations!, but I digress…
So… pretty much everything Stopgap Coffee has done here since we moved out has been a massive improvement. If you remember going to parties “at that brick house, downtown”, you should stop by now and check out the food & coffee they serve. Seriously. Amazing.
Just stay out of the kitchen, because they kept that rule in place.

This place is a hidden gem of Edmonton. The locals around the neighborhood knows how cool this place is. The coffee, pastries are very good and they even have instant noodles!! The customers are very friendly and seem to know each other so it is like a coffee shop in a feel good movie. The baristas are just so kind and you can tell they love what they do. I love coming here to just enjoy the neighborhood. I will always come visit here.
Another visit below: Tried the maple latte and enjoyed it alot. I can't believe I never mentioned the instant cup noodles! I love eating them here with the pastries. And then coffee after. This place's ambiance is so unique. I already moved out of the neighborhood but I still come here when I can. This place is one of those things that makes Edmonton cool.
Absolutely deserved the 5.0 star in this map. Always miss it when I’m out of town.
