My wife Maureen and I loved our first meal here. We especially loved the smoked salmon, California, and spicy tuna Maki. Thank you Sushi Wasabi. We’ll be back!

The aesthetic of the restaurant is visually appealing and was very cute. We were a group of 6 and our server had to mention this 2 times that a tip of 18% would be mandatory, which was fine. Food was great and they had lots of selections. The salmon sashimi I had tasted off for some reason, but the rest were good.

I’ve visited many cafés and restaurants with my baby, but this was by far the least baby-friendly experience I’ve ever had. The lady serving us was rude and unwelcoming from the start. We still decided to order, but when my sushi arrived, I found hair in it. They apologized, remade the dish, and even added an extra, but the overall experience left a very bad impression. I won’t be going back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place if you have a child or a baby.

Heard good things from friends and colleagues about this place over the years, and finally got a chance to visit.

Pleasant, peaceful unassuming little restaurant, Japanese owned. I got their beef Bento which felt authentic, fresh and definitely on the high end of Edmonton quality. They focus on more traditional offerings here so none of those fusion rolls etc. Definitely will be back if I want to fill my sushi craving within Edmonton. 😀

Great spot. Everything tasted so good and the Wasabi is the best, you have to try it.

Three of us went for my wife’s birthday dinner. We ordered mixed sushi, assorted tempura, Takoyaki and assorted sashimi.

The food in general was good and the fish were fresh. We were, however, quite disappointed at the assorted sashimi that claimed to be selected by the chef. As such we expected the sashimi to be different. To our disappointment, they were just regular salmon, tuna, hamachi and other stuffs such as squid, sea snail and akagai. They were not worth the price.

When I made the reservation, I asked if we could bring a small birthday cake for my wife’s birthday. The answer was “sorry, no outside food.” I told the lady we didn’t mind paying for cutting the cake. The answer was still “sorry, no outside food.” That policy was not very friendly for a family restaurant.

Still continues to be the best sushi place in Edmonton! The closest I can feel to being in Japan without being in Japan. Thank you for many unforgettable memories.
