Ordered a festive meal that took a very long time to pick up in the drive thru.... Chicken was melt in your mouth and stuffing was sticky like glue and rather tasteless

We went there on Thanksgiving Day. It was very busy as would be expected. When we finally did get seated we were told that if we were ordering chicken we would have to wait at least 1/2 hour they were out of mashed potatoes and baked potatoes and ribs. The food that we ordered was good, but being out of many of the main entrees that people want was really not acceptable and a failure on the part of the management. The wait staff was very good

Food was good. Service was horrible. Paid the bill then the waitress comes back saying it didn’t go through. Doesn’t give us a void receipt cause there machine doesn’t do that and then we pay again to find out they took payment twice. Phoned to be refunded. I’m not dumb when it comes to debit machines they would have to just look it up in transactions see that the exact same customer on the card was charged twice they do show names and then voided one of them because it hasn’t gone through yet until close out. But no have to now travel back into the city to get our money back! Maybe if they hired English speaking people this wouldn’t be a problem

Haven't been to a Swiss Chalet in years, and I can see that will be years before I go back...at least at this location. I ordered chicken and ribs festive meal, the ribs had a not fresh taste and smell to them. Food was overall slightly below average. Service was pretty below average as well. I'm not sure if the server either wasn't trained or just didn't care. Could barely hear her speak above a whisper, we ordered a kids meal for our son, which is supposed to come with a drink, the main, and dessert. She took our order for the main, than left. I had to ask her, hey, does he get a drink also with his kids meal. After eating, she was going to bring our bill, I was like, hey doesn't his come with dessert? She's like oh yeah, goes and brings it. The kids menu says he has choice of 3 toppings on his dessert (sprinkles, chocolate sauce, etc), she didn't bother asking what he wanted, just brought back a plain dessert, than came with the bill. Again, I had to ask her, hey, we got the festive meals, doesn't it come with chocolates and scratch tickets? She's like oh yeah. Why am I asking/reminding someone that works there how to do her job? Does she even know the menu at the place? We gave our scratch tickets away to a random table, cause there is no way I'm actually coming back to even claim the free appertizer.

Ridiculous. Sat and waited forever. Prepared and ordered everything we wanted at once so there would be no delay. No drinks no food delivered after 30 minutes. I am sitting here in restaurant seething. Oh, finally I see our waitress with our drinks. She's not friendly. Definitely not aware of how much time has elapsed. Some people sat down in our area at 8:02pm. We'll see how that goes. The staff does not seem to know table locations and walk around asking if anyone is needing this or that for example: anyone needing this coffee that was ordered? People seated still not asked about drinks. When I was a server it was important to greet the customers within 7 seconds of them being seated and putting in a drink order. Tables dirty all over and it isn't busy in the dining room. I fear there maybe no responsible manager to complain too because if it is the guy I think it is he's the one wandering around asking who is looking for this and that I mentioned earlier. Food is here after an hour of being here. The only reason we stayed is our kid was hungry. Oh the people finally got noticed and have ordered drinks and their food. So we shall see how fast things go for them. We are missing our sauces which should have come with the meal. She said she'd be back.... will she come back so I can eat and enjoy with my sauces..... I cannot wait to leave.

This is prob one of the most poorly serviced restaurant in south Edmonton. From every staff we encountered so one was friendly no hello no check ins on the table. We waited at the front while every waitress working stared at us like we didn’t exist and then the Chinese lady was just such an unhappy human it was overall embarrassing that’s how they run the place. I for one will not make this on a list of rotations to eat at just because of the service. Pick the moral up if you don’t like your job no one said you had to work it.
This place is trash, came in an hour before closing to order ribs and chicken.. lady tells me ribs are unavailable, log on to skip the dishes ...and it allows me to order ribs...
Lazy front end staff. Lost a good customer , won't be back

Do not order take out through their APP. The time line is totally off and when you call customer service they transfer you to the store and they put you on hold This is very frustrating I will never order again from this store. But they are sure happy to take your money. Over two hours to get food. Call Swiss Chalet Customer Service again and they said we can’t do anything we will have to talk to the store.Stay away from this place
