I celebrated my birthday at Vivo today and overall had a mixed experience.

First, I want to highlight our server, Belal — he was absolutely wonderful. He went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner feel special. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely made the night more enjoyable. His service was easily the best part of the evening. Thanks for the dessert!

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the price point. While everything was presented nicely, the flavors were just okay. The lobster risotto, in particular, was disappointing as the rice was undercooked, which really affected the texture and overall dish.

Additionally, the washrooms were very dirty, which was surprising given the upscale atmosphere and pricing.

Overall, the service was excellent thanks to Belal, but the food quality and cleanliness need improvement — especially for a restaurant in this price range.

One of the best restaurants in Edmonton. We come 1-2 per year and sit at the counter. The experience is always great and every staff member is really friendly. The food is always incredible. No complaints. Hidden gem for sure as its located in the south west.

Came here on a Friday food was great, we started with the arancini (8/10) portion size is good for sharing with 1 other or a small size if you shared with more. Then had the fettuccine (8.5/10) great portion to share assuming you are getting multiple items, and then finally had the filet and added on potatoes (9.5/10) we were extremely full after this and everything came out promptly.

To drink we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio $60-$65) which is pretty fairly priced, and my girlfriend had a Caesar which was just okay and probably wouldn’t get again (much better places you could get a Caesar from).

This was our second time coming and just as good as the last, I would definitely recommend going. Our total was $220 before tip which feels reasonable for everything we got, and the quality of it compared to other places we’ve been.

We love sitting at the counter to watch the chef cook. You get little samples of food that are mouth watering and make you want more!

Vivo was amazing the staff were efficient knowledgeable and very friendly, the food was amazing and very fresh and the vibe was calm and relaxing

I tried to book online but it says sold out on a Tuesday in mid Jan. My coworker called and was able to get us in. There was a large meeting in the main seating area so we sat in the nice private dining area. We had a number of appetizers and main courses. All the food was presented so elegantly and it tasted exceptional. Not a place I will come regularly but for sure for special occasions.

One of, if not the best restaurants in Edmonton. That staff are all very well trained, friendly and knowledgeable. They explain everything in their menu with so much detail and can help you pair wines with any dish. Great for couples, family’s and work gatherings

The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the countertop seating was entertaining. The noise level was very high. Gold star to Jordan the server we had. The manager asked us how our night was and the sous chef introduced himself and asked us if we liked the food. Impressed!
