Amazing experience. Our server Reid was fantastic. He recommended great dishes (all the food we had was wonderful), and we told him what flavors we were looking for with drink, and he made a number of specialty cocktails to suit us, and all were delicious. Highly recommend checking out this spot!

Went to greymare/wishbone yesterday to pickup old mare burger and Nashville chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, beef patty for old mare burger was good but I didn’t like the “special sauce” which was almost a thicker mustard. Wasn’t a fan of the fries also, would repeat for the chicken sandwich, maybe will try the cheeseburger next

Made an online reservation with no issues but it wasn't super busy when we went on a Sunday morning anyway. We ordered the breakfast poutine and short rib bowl, both of which were really good. Great service and a nice chill vibe.

Had a very nice early Valentine's dinner. Went for one of their towers, great bang for buck. Fresh meaty oysters, fried chicken was juicy and crispy, generous side portions, and their Hokkaido buns were a nice treat. Respectable local craft beer selection and quality liquor options.

Really didn't know what to expect when walked in to Wishbone restaurant for dinner. Wow, we had an absolute wonderful dinner. Didn't realize that Brussel Sprouts in tomato and chilli could be that delicious. The Rainbow Trout with garlic sausage in white wine butter sauce was outstanding. The interior is "wall to ceiling, including the ceiling" covered with hardwood panel (apparently installed by the previous establishment). Great ambience, excellent food and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

I've been here twice for brunch but haven't tried their dinners yet, so I'm going to assume their dinners have to be better. Brunch is a solid "okay but not great"m unfortunately. The first visit I tried the huevos rancheros, and was a bit more impressed by this, although the way they fried the tortilla and put it on top was a little odd. Was fine, but decided I'd order something different next time. Second time I came I was looking for something a little lighter and healthier, as I knew I'd be going out for dinner the same day. Alas, the brunch menu is pretty highly caloric all across the board. No apparent options for a half serving (such as a half benny or small order of pancakes) or something a little lighter. I eventually decided to try the vegan breakfast bowl, described as "Falafel, avocado, sprouts, potato, chanterelles, tahini dressing," Sounds tasty, right? Unfortunately, this one was a big disappointment. Falafels were pretty tasteless, there was maybe half an avocado and a scattering of sprouts sprinkled across the top of the dish, and the entire bottom of the dish was just fried potatoes (not even great ones, half were kinda soggy). The tahini dressing was tasteless, I couldn't even tell it was there. And while there were some mushrooms in the mix, they were few, and the ones I could identify were DEFINITELY not chanterelles. Part of the reason I ordered this dish was curiosity about the chanterelles - chanterelle season is generally around August to December and there are towns in Europe that have actual chanterelle festivals where local restaurants change their menus to feature them. I was lucky enough to be in Cologne Germany for this one year and they are absolutely delicious. So I figured the chanterelles would probably be dried, but still tasty. The few mushrooms actually present in the dish however were definitely not even remotely related to chanterelles - I suspect it was just a wild mushroom mix. I saw several slices that looked like a plain old crimini or button mushroom cap, a tiny one that looked like enoki, and I'm pretty certain I tasted a bit of shitake.... but nothing that looked like a chanterelle. Folks, if you're going to use random mushrooms, just write "wild mushrooms" on your menu, don't write a very specific and recognizable species that you aren't using at all. Also, blasting music at 11am so loud that it measures over 80 decibels? Odd choice. It wasn't that loud the first time I was there but it was offensively so on the second visit, and considering I was the only person in the restaurant for most of the time I was there, can't imagine why they felt that was appropriate. There's no music volume that's going to hide the fact your restaurant is empty. Google tells me that 85 dB is the point at which hearing damage can occur from extended exposure, so good luck to the restaurant staff there. Final point against the brunch here, their tea selection is abysmal. If you're not a coffee drinker, what you probably want for breakfast is a strong black tea. And they don't have it. AT ALL. The ONLY type of black tea they have is Earl Grey, which is a floral-tasting completely different style of tea that cannot compare to a good old English Breakfast tea for brunch. Heck, I'd have been happy with a black chai tea also, but nope. Earl Grey or a bunch of random herbal teas none of which sounded as if they have caffeine. So overall, my experience of brunch here is pretty meh, don't think I'll try it again. Might come back to try their dinners and see if those are better. The location is convenient on Jasper and the decor is lovely - warm wood panels and nice lighting - maybe they should give up on brunches though.

Such an amazing establishment, Brayden and his team know what they're doing. Highly recommended any day of the week!

Was a little underwhelmed by the meal. All the items were decent but nothing really stood out.

I went to this place for a birthday dinner and it was VERY nice!! This atmosphere is really something else with the wood panelling from the floor curving up into the ceiling.

Have you ever wandered down Jasper ave looking for a place to drink? Did you walk past this place thinking it was a restaurant that served good food? Well, you were right, but WRONG! It is not only a restaurant, but a place to enjoy a great cocktail. In fact, it is a place to enjoy a great cocktail that happens to serve food that tastes good.
